On June 11, 2021, the Art Museum hosted an exhibition of works by Hryhoriy Mykhailovych Hnatyuk, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, Honored Artist of Ukraine, winner of the Oleksandr Osmerkin Regional Prize in Fine Arts and Art History to mark the artist's 70th birthday.

Hryhoriy Mykhailovych Hnatyuk was born on July 18, 1951 in the village of Nebelivka, Novoarkhangelsk district (Novoarkhangelska community, Golovanivsky district), Kirovohrad region. In 1975 he graduated from the Kharkiv State Art School (painting and pedagogical department, teacher Vitaliy Lenchin). From 1975 to 1979 Hnatiuk worked in the art and production workshops of the city of Chita (Buryat Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, Russia), after returning home, during 1980-1987, in the Kirovograd art and production workshops of the Art Fund of the USSR as a designer. Since 1987, Hryhoriy Mykhailovych has received a membership card of a member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR.

Since 1982, the artist has taken an active part in all-Ukrainian, all-Union and international art exhibitions: "Contemporary Soviet Painting" (Japan, 1987), "1st International Biennale" Impreza-89 "(1989)," Contemporary Ukrainian Art in Canada "(1990) and "The Homestead". (1995).

Hryhoriy Hnatyuk's personal exhibitions were successfully held in Ukraine (Kropyvnytskyi (Kirovohrad)) (1986, 1987), Kyiv (1989, 1990), and abroad. It is nice to realize the fact that the artist received recognition during his lifetime, both at home and far beyond.

Today the works of Hryhoriy Hnatyuk are in the Gallery of Contemporary and Eastern European Art "Red Square" (London, UK), the Directorate of Exhibitions of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, the Museum of Arts (Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum), the Oleksandr Osmerkin Art Memorial Museum, Kropyvnytskyi (Zurich, Switzerland), USA, Canada, Germany, Austria and others.

From 1994 until his tragic death, Hryhoriy Mykhailovych lived and worked in his native village of Nebelivka. In 2006 Hnatiuk will receive the winner of the regional award in the field of fine arts and art history named after Alexander Osmerkin in the nomination "Latest trends", and in 2009 he received the honorary title of "Honored Artist of Ukraine".

Major works: "Potato Harvest" (1981), "Yard" (1984), "Housework" (1986), "Salted Tomatoes" (1993), "Disappearing Blues" (1996), "My Mother" (1999), "At the well" (2000), "Expectations" (2002).

After the tragic death on October 10, 2012, an exhibition of works of art dedicated to the bright memory of Hryhoriy Mykhailovych Hnatyuk was opened on December 15, 2012 at the Museum of Arts (Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum).

In 2017, the catalog "Hryhoriy Hnatyuk. Nebelovsky pastorals. Painting. Graphics" by Fedor Lagno, design and layout by Andriy Khvorostai was published in the Printing and Publishing Center of Imex-LT LLC. In 2020, within the framework of the Regional Program for the Development of Book Publishing and Book Distribution 2016-2020. The catalog "Hryhoriy Hnatyuk. Nebelovsky pastorals. Painting. Graphics" was republished, which presents works from private collections and the stock collection of the Art Museum.

According to art critics, the artist's work is characterized by philosophical, deep psychologism of images, a peculiar combination of Ukrainian folk tradition and Western European post-impressionism with a pronounced individual style, which with the help of ordinary means of visual language created a new artistic reality. The pervasive motifs of most of his works are the symbols of nature and space that surround man. The main characters of many of his paintings were his mother, sisters and ordinary peasant women.

This year's exhibition of works by Hryhoriy Mykhailovych Hnatyuk, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, Honored Artist of Ukraine, winner of the Oleksandr Osmerkin Regional Prize in Fine Arts and Art History, presents paintings from the fund collection of the Museum of Art. pastorals ":" Courtyard "(1984)," Before the holiday "(1985)," Pickled tomatoes "(1986)," In a cozy corner "(1986)" Remains of light "(1992).

As well as works from the private collection of Volodymyr Plitin were written by Hryhoriy Hnatyuk in 1982 "Conversation in the Interior" and "Dvir" which Volodymyr Plitin transferred to the museum's collection during the exhibition.

Themes of Hryhoriy Hnatyuk's paintings are those that are called "eternal". The heroes on his paintings are always alive and it seems that they came out of fleeting words, memories, dreamy immersion in the past. And this encourages a lifelong dialogue with the viewer.
