On September 27, 2021 in the KZ "Museum of Arts of the Kirovohrad Regional Council" was the grand opening of the exhibition of works of art "Tourist mosaic of the native land", dedicated to the World Tourism Day and Tourism Day in Ukraine.
In today's world, this holiday is especially important because tourism has become, without exaggeration, a mass phenomenon, whose popularity is constantly gaining momentum, drawing into its orbit more and more people, organizations, new regions and entire countries. The phenomenon of tourism continues to attract the attention of numerous researchers and analysts who are trying to unravel the formula for the success of this amazing phenomenon, even making a certain qualification, which included, in particular, business tourism, leisure tourism, leisure tourism, educational tourism.
It is clear that this way of using free time is especially characteristic of citizens of developed countries and those who approach them. Its popularity is due to the fact that it objectively contributes to the socio-cultural and economic development of individual tourist regions and spreads an already large army of romantic travelers, giving a crazy charge of vigor and enthusiasm, calling for interesting meetings and new adventures, helping to get out of everyday life. bustle on the river bank, in the woods, in the field, thus making a touch of incredibly beautiful landscapes of our mother nature, enjoy the unique architectural masterpieces and more.
This day is usually attended by tourists, there are numerous and diverse holiday events, as well as presentations that highlight the specifics of tourism development on the basis of its individual objects and regions, the problems and prospects of modern tourism business, creating infrastructure and more. After all, we should not forget on this day about those who create the opportunity for such a wonderful holiday for others - employees of travel companies, managers and staff of hotel complexes, museum workers and more.
World Tourism Day has been celebrated by most countries for over thirty years. The history of this holiday dates back to 1979, when the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization at the United Nations, which was then located in the Spanish city of Torremolino, founded an international holiday called "World Tourism Day", deciding to celebrate it annually on September 27. . The main factor in this decision was the understanding of the importance and benefits of tourism, the need for its further development, broad coverage of its contribution to economic and social development of individual regions and the world community as a whole, and - establishing deep and close ties between different countries.
Many countries have welcomed this great initiative, seeing the significant financial and socio-economic benefits of such a decision, in particular in terms of creating the appropriate infrastructure, jobs, attracting sponsors and more. Ukraine is no exception, where September 27 began to be celebrated as Tourism Day in accordance with the Presidential Decree of September 21, 1998. Traditionally, on this day cereminonials take place to present and promote the tourism potential of different regions of our country, the tourist component and relevant promotional products of individual settlements, businesses, institutions, etc., establish mutually beneficial relations between different tourism entities, new tourist routes for different categories of tourists are presented, etc.
It is clear that our Steppe Greece does not lag behind in promoting its tourism potential by making souvenir tourism products, information stands, city lights, info tours, creating videos about the city, as well as, in accordance with European standards, a tourist information center, the purpose of which - to help the tourist to determine the location of the necessary objects, to plan the route of the city trip, to provide information about local events and events in the field of tourism.
The tourist direction is an important component of the work of museum institutions of the city and region, in particular their flagship - the Museum of Arts. Publishing activities, video presentations, thematic city tours, exhibitions - this is not a complete list of relevant activities.
A striking example of such work is the exhibition "Tourist mosaic of the native land" opened for the World Tourism Day and the Day of Tourism in Ukraine, the very name of which defines the thematic component of wonderful works of fine art from the museum's collection. They clearly illustrate the unique creative "I" of their authors, the variety of techniques, colors, different historical eras, the contrast of rural idyll with the architectural gems of the city. But all of them are united by the fact that they present important objects of modern tourist routes of the city and the region and the prospects of further fruitful work in the direction of expanding the tourist map of Steppe Hellas
