On April 2, 2021, the Art Museum of Kirovohrad Regional Council opened an exhibition dedicated to the holy month of Ramadan in  Muslim religion: "In the spiritual vortex of the East."

At the Art Museum, we continue to develop in the direction of oriental culture and art. And today our visitors can not only hear about life in the East, learn about the difference between us and people of other nationalities, but also touch their culture, because the Art Museum has prepared for you an incredibly interesting and informative exhibition about the culture of Islamic countries. Iraq, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Qatar, Egypt, Lebanon, Turkey, this list can be continued. And it is religion that unites and creates the spiritual foundation for life. Spirituality! Religiosity! More than 120 countries around the world profess Islam, and they are called Islamic countries or Muslim countries.

Imagine a mosque, morning, morning prayers heard in the streets of the Middle East, women in hijabs, with big brightly painted eyes. The Art Museum invites you to immerse yourself in this atmosphere and take a short trip on the carpet-plane!

The exhibition: "In the spiritual whirlpool of the East", contains exhibits related to the countries of Islam, and the plots of the paintings will immerse you in the colors of the Middle East. Among the exhibits are paintings and graphics, a musical instrument-kemancha, on which the peoples of Islamic countries play music, you can also see the holy book-Koran translated into Ukrainian. Works selected from our stock collection. Nuremberg's graphic works: "In the Tea Room", "In the Samarkand Lane", "In the Grinding Workshop", which enchant with their elegance and writing skills, are supported in serial stylistics. Paintings by Yahyaeva Matlyuba Mansurovna "Tabachnitsy", Mamedova Mameda "Portrait of a Peasant" and Pokazhevsky "In the Pamirs".

In addition, from April 13 will begin the period of so-called abstinence - Ramadan - a month during which people observe fasting! So the exhibition is waiting for you in our walls from April 12, 2021!

We hope you can be inspired by our oriental motifs. We invite you to our museum!
