Childhood and adolescence passed here, which quickly reached, but a good memory of his native village among the wide steppe still inspires, is not remembered over time and lives in many works of the master.
While still in school, the gifted young man entered the correspondence department of the Moscow People's University of Arts, after which, from 1963, he studied at the Faculty of Industrial Arts of the Moscow Art School, the famous Stroganovka (now the Moscow State Academy of Arts and Crafts). He worked as a sculptor in the city for some time. From 1985 he moved on to creative work, working with easel and monumental sculpture. Many works of the master decorate the interiors and exteriors of public buildings in our city.
Viktor Vasyliovych had great friendship and cooperation with our compatriot - artist, sculptor, writer Andriy Vasyliovych Nimenko. Communication with a multifaceted, gifted person played a major role in the creative work of the artist. New ideas, experiments and searches for sculptural compositions appeared.
His work is diverse: small-scale sculpture and genre sculpture, monumental works and lyrical portraits. Charming images of women in the works of Samylenko VV is beauty, harmony and refinement. Figures of Ukrainian women are presented at the exhibition: "Flora" (1990), "Three Apples" (1998), "Romance" (1971), "Spring" (1999).
