On February 18, 2021, an exhibition of new acquisitions "Art Mosaic - 2020" was opened at the Art Museum which became another visual illustration of the museum's systematic and fruitful work to replenish the stock collection.
The opening of such exhibitions is more relevant than ever given the harsh realities of our lives. First of all, this is due to the pandemic, which made radical adjustments to the work of cultural institutions, making it impossible to hold mass events, including the official opening of exhibitions and the Annual Charity Easter Auctions, which have always been important sources of funding.
Secondly, the specifics of the social structure of our society, formed due to well-known historical reasons and modern financial difficulties do not contribute to the mass attraction of the population to art and the irresistible desire of many patrons to invest in culture, sacrificing for the restoration and purchase of paintings, sacred art and more.
Therefore, each such exhibition is a kind of report on the effective work of the Museum of Art to replenish the collection over the past year due to active exhibition activities and systematic cooperation with representatives of the creative community, their families, customs and private individuals. to the problem of preserving cultural heritage. Thus, by joint efforts, in the complex socio-economic realities deepened by the recent war in the East, the great work of preserving and promoting our artistic heritage is done thanks to people who understand the importance of such steps for their descendants and have not lost faith in spiritual revival of the Ukrainian nation and civilized European Ukraine.
And it is a continuation of a kind of dialogue between the museum and society in order to achieve understanding of the latest modern museum problems and attract others to solve them together and the opportunity to express sincere gratitude to those who in such difficult times for all of us remained a faithful friend of the museum. his shoulder and showing a wonderful example not only of sincere friendship, but also of altruism and patronage.
Undoubtedly, such an exhibition is a real gift for fans of highly professional art, which has not only a huge cultural, artistic and spiritual-aesthetic, but also undeniable patriotic and educational significance. After all, love for one's native land and homeland should be confirmed not by words, but by daily and concrete deeds.
The educational component of the exhibition is also that it presents the works of highly professional masters, who in the dominance of subculture and the latest technologies return to true art, forming the appropriate aesthetic tastes.
A specific feature of such exhibitions is also their diverse nature, which makes it possible to show within one hall works of different artistic directions - painting, graphics, ceramics, etc., which makes such an exhibition more interesting, justifying the name "Art Mosaic". In addition, many works of the presented exhibits the visitor sees for the first time, which creates a corresponding intrigue.
Some exhibits of the exhibition are a great example of the appeal of Ukrainophile artists to the authenticity, national identity, spiritual sources and history of the Ukrainian people, in particular - the theme of the Cossacks, which is the core of the Ukrainian nation. A significant part of the presented works is a real ode to Ukrainian nature, which gives the exhibition a romantic and poetic charm and makes you remember the very popular TV series "Ukraine impresses".
Works of fine art, made within the framework of the concept "Architectural pearls of our city", which awaken pride for the native land, also have huge patriotic and educational value.
A special feature of the exhibition "Art Mosaic - 2020" is associated with the celebration in September last year of the 50th anniversary of the All-Ukrainian festival of theatrical art "September Gems". During the plein air, wonderful paintings were created depicting our legendary theater, "Farm of Hope", famous luminaries, etc., which became part of the stock collection of the Museum of Arts, and are now presented at the exhibition.
Many of the presented works also became a tribute to the original masters of the brush, who went to other worlds and who declared their love for Ukraine by means of fine arts in Soviet times.
So I want to believe that the exhibition "Art Mosaic 2020" will cause a great resonance among the concerned community and not only give the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful works of painting and graphics, but also help to understand the specifics of museum activities and the problems facing the Art Museum - aesthetic education of the population.
