On July 19, 2021, the Museum of Arts opened an exhibition of works "Color improvisations" by a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, teacher Oksana Zhuravel (Nadezhdina) to the anniversary of the artist.

Oksana Zhuravel (Nadezhdina) is a representative of a famous talented dynasty in our city. Her father, Mykhailo Volodymyrovych Nadezhdin, is a People's Artist of Ukraine who headed the Kirovohrad Regional Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine for many years;

Zhuravel (Nadezhdina) Oksana Mikhailovna was born on July 18, 1971 in Kirovograd. In 1995 she graduated from Dnipropetrovsk State Art School named after E.V. Vuchetych, in 2000 - the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture of Ukraine (Faculty of Theory and History of Art). Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 2000. From 1995 to 2008 she worked as a teacher at the O.O. Osmerkin Art School in Kropyvnytskyi. Oksana Mykhailivna is a member of the editorial board of the creative bibliographic album-directory "Artists of Ukraine". He currently works as an art class teacher at the Tarashcha School of Arts (Kyiv region). Since 1997 he has been participating in All-Ukrainian art exhibitions. Participant of the All-Ukrainian Triennial of Painting 1998, 2001, International Art Exhibition "Contemporary Art of Ukraine" (Moscow), personal - 2002, 2005, 2008 (Kropyvnytskyi), joint - 1999 (Cherkasy), 2005, 2007 (Kyiv), 2006 (Kropyvnytskyi), 2009 (Tarashcha, Kyiv Region), 2013 (Kyiv) and others.

The artist works in the direction of avant-garde art - she is a fan of non-figurative painting, which claims a free artistic search. Her works are characterized by associatively symbolic forms, expression, subtle, tonal and color transitions, a certain rich color, in which the internal tension is felt.

In 2012, Oksana Zhuravel was awarded the title of laureate of the regional award in the field of fine arts and art history named after O. Osmerkin in the nomination "Latest trends".

It is difficult to disagree with the opinion of the well-known and respected in art circles doctor of art history, full member of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine, Professor Oleksandr Fedoruk: “Oksana's works border on the tradition of non-figurative painting. Her picturesque and colorful improvisations are colorfully secret, full of color architecture. They are like a reflection of instantaneous experiences, an attempt to embody the absolute effectiveness of motion and matter. They have tangible motives of the prototypes of Ukrainian culture. "

The exhibition "Color Improvisations" presents works from the stock collection of the Museum of Arts, which reveal the individual creative handwriting of the artist Oksana Zhuravel - "Earth" (1997), "Cockroach" (2000), "Movement" (2002).
