On December 24, 2020, the Museum of Arts opened an exposition of works from the stock collection of the Museum "Winter Colors" dedicated to the upcoming New Year holidays. People say: "Winter has come - and brought holidays with it." And really, in winter almost every day is a holiday. It is from December that the winter holidays begin, which children are looking forward to and adults. At the end of each December, we look forward to the future, make plans for next year, and take stock of the past year. It is during this period that a special festive mood and belief in miracles arise. In winter, everything around is covered with white cloth. Dusty trees and houses waiting for their artist. We suggest you watch how the masters of the brush convey winter with the help of paints. Many artists dedicated their paintings to this time of year.
The splendor of the winter landscape can be seen in paintings where the winter is calm. A quiet and sleepy winter fairy tale breathes peace, and only bright reflections on the snow generate emotions. To depict winter, artists use cold shades and colors, warm colors have no place here.
The exposition of works from the stock collection of the museum "Winter Colors" includes works, which are dominated by snow-covered landscapes made in different techniques with an interesting combination of colors of paints inherent in the winter palette - V.O. Fedorova (1920-1986) "Winter Etude" (1979), A.O. Gorbenko "House on the edge of the forest" (2007), VS Kolesnichenko (1933-2015) "The first snow on a yellow leaf" 2010 and II Marchenko's "Winter Morning". The festive atmosphere full of warmth and bright lights with Odessa color is set by a series of winter paintings made in the author's technique with a polished relief pattern of paints of another talented countryman SA Trembling - "Strangers lights "(2001) and" Odessa tram "(1999).
The exposition "Winter Colors" reflects the grace and diversity of the beauty of the surrounding world through the prism of the creative vision of a whole galaxy of talented artists, gives a sense of the approach of the festive spirit, gives faith in miracles.
