October 5, 2020 in the department of the Art Museum - Art Gallery "World and Fatherland" named after Petro Ossovsky has opened an exhibition "Architecture in Painting" for the World Architect's Day.

World Architect's Day is celebrated on the first Monday of October.  Is was founded by the International Union of Architects in 1985. Architect's Day is a good occasion to look at your city from different angle, look at buildings and admire the talent of masters. Architects work actively, embodying their bold ideas, using the latest technologies and original design solutions. The exhibition presents paintings and graphics from the museum's collection, which present the magnificent architectural landscapes of Ukraine and other countries. By depicting architectural buildings, artists convey admiration for the diversity of architectural styles and the genius of the architects who created such unique masterpieces.

Works by Iryna Kukharenko "Gloomy Morning" (2014-2015) and "Autumn in Rozumivka ”(2012) create a good mood and fill with optimism, encourage us to enjoy what surrounds us in everyday life. Iryna Kukharenko became interested in watercolor painting while still studying at a children's art school. Her love for fine arts led her to the Faculty of a former Architecture of Kazan Institute of Civil Engineering, now Kazan State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. The exhibition presents the work of Natalia Solovyova "D. Manzon's Trading House" (2017) from the series "Towers and Spiers of Old Yelisavetgrad". Natalia graduated from the Art and Technical Faculty of a former Kirovohrad Institute of Regional Management and Economics, now Kropyvnytskyi Institute of Higher Education and the Kropyvnytskyi College of the University of Modern Knowledge. In 2012 - the Faculty of Architecture of the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture. The artist's work includes graphic series dedicated to the architecture of her hometown, illustrations for books, and paintings. She created sets of postcards "Doors of Old Yelisavetgrad ”and“ Towers and Spiers of Old Yelisavetgrad ”.

The building depicted in her work is a kind of business card, a sample of high architectural art, created by a talented architect - an artist of the late nineteenth - early twentieth century by Yakiv Pauchenko. It is the unique architectural masterpieces of Yakiv Vasilyevich that currently make up the lion's share of the unique architectural ensemble of theof the modern city downtown, pleasing the eye and arousing the sincere admiration of its many guests and, in addition, the pride of its inhabitants. The trip to European countries was presented to us by the works of prominent fellow artists: People's Artist of the USSR Peter Ossovsky (1925-2015) "Prague", "Warsaw", "Bratislava" and People's Artist of Ukraine, chairman of Odessa regional organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Anatoly Gorbenko`s "Sacred Places of Florence "(1999).

The works presented in the exhibition "Architecture in Painting" eloquently testify that we have something to be proud of because the world cultural heritage is rich in nmerous monuments of culture and history. And thanks to the tireless work of artists, our descendants get the opportunity to touch the historical past. Therefore, the purpose of this exhibition is to remind humanity of the importance of preserving the cultural heritage created by the efforts of many generations.

We hope that the display of world and national cultural heritage will contribute to the process of spiritual uplift and pride for the whole society.

Tetyana Kostenko - scientific worker of the Department of the Art Museum - Art Gallery "World and Fatherland" named after Petro Ossovskyi
