PRESS RELEASE Exhibition of embroidered towels "The Tale of My Life" master of folk embroidery Zinaida Andreyashevskaya

On December 17, 2020, the Art Museum hosted an exhibition of embroidered towels "The Tale of My Life" by Zinaida Andreyashevska, a master of folk embroidery, a member of National Union of Folk Art Masters of Ukraine, dedicated to St. Barbara's Day. Andreyashevskaya Zinaida Vladimirovna was born in 1949. From 1952 she lived in the village. Dmytrivka, Znamyanskiy district, Kirovohrad region. Having obtained the profession of a technologist of garment production at the Dnypropetrovsk Polytechnic College of the Ministry of Light Industry, she worked for thirty years at a garment factory (now - Private Joint Stock Company "Garment Factory" Zoryanka ") and since 1992 at the factory" Ukraine" Kropyvnytskyi.

In 1999 she went on a well-deserved vacation and it was at this time that she became interested in embroidery, as she was engaged in needlework from an early age, her love for embroidery was instilled in her by Paraskeva's grandmother, who loved and knew how to spin, weave and embroider. First, these were embroidered paintings, napkins later, she began to embroider towels. Since 2008 she has been a member of the "Nytochka Folk Crafts Club" and the "Dyvosvit Regional Creative Association". The master is a participant of All-Ukrainian, regional and city thematic exhibitions and actions: exhibitions of decorative and applied and fine arts "Triumph of grace, conscience, talent" of the regional festival of spiritual singing "I pray for you, Ukraine" (2015, 2017, 2019), exhibitions of decorative and applied art "Kalynovy Rozmay" (2016), exhibitions of decorative and applied and fine arts of the regional creative association "Dyvosvit" (2016 and 2019), exhibitions "Country of Masters" of the regional branch of the National Union of Masters of Folk Art Of Ukraine (2019).

Zinaida Volodymyrivna embroidered a towel, an ornament, typical of the Kirovohrad region, with which she took part in the embroidery parade in Kyiv during the international festival "Dreamland" (2009). In 2017, 2018 and 2019 she participated in the All-Ukrainian art project "Best Work of the Year". On December 22, 2018, by the decision of the certification commission of the National Union of Masters of Folk Art of Ukraine, she was certified as a People's Master.

Since 2012, Andreyashevska Zinaida Volodymyrivna has been actively participating in cultural events and actions of the Art Museum (Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum): exhibition of works of decorative and applied arts "Sun Thread" by Masters of Folk Crafts Club "Thread" Kirovohrad District House of Culture (2012). , exhibition of decorative and applied arts "Flowering Garden" of Masters of Folk Crafts Club "Nitochka" Kirovograd District House of Culture (2017), exhibition "Country of Masters" to the All-Ukrainian Day of Cultural Workers and Masters of Folk Art (2018), International action "Night of Museums", dedicated to the International Day of Museums (2018-2019). Zinaida Volodymyrivna together with the researchers of the museum has repeatedly participated in the traveling exhibition "Ukrainian embroidery. Towel ”where she not only told about the symbolism of the embroidered towel, but also conducted author's master classes on embroidery in the technique of art and Poltava smooth surface embroidery for students of educational institutions of Kropyvnytskyi.

In 2017, an embroidered towel in the "Kalyna" towel seam technique was donated to the museum's stock collection by Zinaida Volodymyrivna. Olga  Kolomiets, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and the National Union of Masters of Folk Art of Ukraine, is a mentor and inspirer in embroidering towels with hand towel seams for Zinaida Andreyashevska. Twenty-seven towels are on display at the exhibition of embroidered towels "The Tale of My Life" by Zinaida Andreyashevska, a master of folk embroidery and a member of the National Union of Folk Art Masters of Ukraine dedicated to St. Barbara's Day. Zinaida Vladimirovna has been creating drawings for towels herself for several years in a row.  It is the towel "Grandma's Flower" (2020) embroidered with red threads by Poltava smoothness by members of the master's family as an honor and tribute to the bright memory of mother Varvara and grandmother Paraskeva, gratitude for instilled love for life and creativity occupies a prominent place in the exhibition.

In the technique of hand seams, Poltava smooth-surface embroidery the following pieces of art were performed: Towel "Poltava" (2016), Towel "Flower" (2019), Towel "Kirovograd region-2009" (2009).

In the technique of oblique cross: Towel "God is Great, One, save Ukraine for us" (2008), Towel "Tree of Life" (2011), Towel "Good morning" (2015), Towel "Guardian" (2017), Towel "Christmas star" ( 2017), Towel "Poltava`s Ritual" (2020),

In the technique of cross: Towel "Ornamented" (2008), Towel "Red on White" (2009), Towel "Tree of Life" (2010), Towel "Belarusian Hearts" (2010), Towel "Gift" (2012) Towel "Gift" (2014), Towel "Gift" (2015), Towel "Ritual" (2015), Towel "Traditional" (2015), Towel "Rose" (2016), Towel " Gift ”(2017), Towel“ Goddess ”(2017), Towel“ Traveler ”(2019), Towel“ Guardian ”(2020).

The exposition is organically complemented by various documentary materials that reflect the life and creative path of the master. And the museum's collection, after the exhibition, will be replenished with the author's Towel "Poltava" (2016).
