Exposition of the artist's memory Vitaliy Semenovich Kolesnichenko (18.12.1933 - 12.05.2015)

The exhibition of the memory of the artist Vitaliy Semenovich Kolesnichenko was hosted at the Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum on the 20^th of December in 2018.

Vitaliy Semenovich Kolesnichenko was born on the 18^th of December in 1933 in Novoarkhanhelsk. He felt attracted to drawing from his childhood, at his teens he attended a studio of fine arts. He worked at Novoarhangelsk Region House of Culture as a painter, designer, head of the art studio, and subsequently a methodologist in the fine art of the district department of culture after demobilization from the armed forces in 1956, he was the head of the studio of fine arts. He graduated from the Ivan Fedorov`s Polygraph Printing Institute with honors in 1966. He was working as an architect in the Novoarkhangelsk region from 1971 to 1976. He was transferred to Kirovograd for the appointment of artist in the regional newspaper «Kirovogradska Pravda» in 1976, where he had worked until 2001.

Vitaliy Semenovich was a member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, the Yurii Yanovsky Prize Winner (1987). He was awarded by the Diploma of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic for many years of active work in the field of journalism and a personal contribution to the artistic and polygraphic design of the newspaper "Kirovogradskaya Pravda" in 1988, as well as by many diplomas and honors.

Vitaliy Kolesnichenko began the exhibition activity in 1974, taking part in a republican art exhibition (Kyiv), on the basis of which was awarded with a diploma of the Ministry of Culture of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic.

The first personal exhibition of watercolors «Carpathian impressions» was held at the Novoarkhangelsk cinema «Ukraine» in 1975.

Many events were hosted with the participation of Vitaliy Semenovich Kolesnichenko since 2006 in Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum. Three personal exhibitions were opened: «How Vitaliy Kolesnichenko sees on Planet-X» (2006), the exhibition dedicated to the International Day for the Liberation of Prisoners of Nazi Concentrators (2008) and the anniversary exhibition works of «Art Diversity» of Kirovograd artist Vitaliy Kolesnichenko to the 80th anniversary of his birth.

The works of the artist are often exhibited at the our museum's thematic exhibitions. In the permanent exposition on the 2nd floor of the regional art museum there is an icon created by the master using natural materials, which is called «Mother of God with a boy» (2009).

The artist was transferred to the collection of the Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum more than 60 paintings, graphic art and works of decorative and applied arts from 2006.

The series «Planet X» was created by Vitali Semenovich in 2005-2006. The theme of space, UFOs, interplanetary flights, aliens from another planet, the unknown is always interested the artist.

The theme of nature, the meaning of human existence, inspired the artist to create lyrical works for many years.

In the exhibition of the memory of the artist Vitaliy Semenovich Kolesnichenko were presented such works: «The first snow on a yellow leaf», «In the forest», «Autumn fantasy», «Planet X. Their accommodation», «Eclipse of the era».

For the collective of the regional art museum Vitaliy Semenovich was and remains a model of selfless and unselfish ministry to his work, mentor, sincere friend, energetic and extraordinary person.
