The exhibition "Ukraine is a generous in Cossack glory dedicated to the 20-th anniversary of the independence of Ukraine

On August 23, 2018, the exhibition "Ukraine is generous in Cossack glory", dedicated to the twentieth anniversary of Ukraine's independence, was opened in the Oblast Art Museum.

The author of the represented at the exhibition works is a talented Kropyvnytskyi artist Dmytro Ivanovych Skoreiko. Dmytro was born on February 28, 1974 in the city of Kirovohrad (now Kropyvnytskyi), graduated from Kirovohrad secondary school number 30 in 1991, from 1985 to 1989 he studied at the children's art school, in 1991-1994 he studied at the Kirovohrad State Pedagogical Institute at the Graphic Art Section of Pedagogical Department.

Since 1998, he has been working by his profession in interrelated fields of art: wall painting, interior decoration, painting, book graphics, antiques restoration, wood carvings. In 2008, Dmytro participated in the exhibition of young artists. The event was held at the Kirovohrad Oblast Art Museum, within the framework of the International "Night of Museums" in 2014. The Skoreiko's exhibition was displayed in the Kirovograd Oblast Museum of Local Ethnology. Also in 2014, the artist created the exhibition of art works - "What I love", which was exhibited in the Kirovohrad Oblast Philharmonic and Kirovograd Oblast Museum of Local Ethnology. The author presented his paintings to the Kirovohrad Oblast Art Museum in order to participate in the exhibitions "With Ukraine in Heart" in 2014, dedicaing it to the Defender of Ukraine Day in 2015.  Also, in 2015, Dmytro created and presented to the audience his solo exhibition on the Ukrainian Armed Forces Day at the 3rd independent regiment of Special forces. In November 2015, the artist took part in a charity auction organized by the oblast philharmonic to assist the armed forces of Ukraine. During 2016-2018 he took part in the exhibition of amateur artists, organized by the "Yelysavethrad" Art Gallery.

Scenic works about Cossacks are emblem and the main topic in the works of the young artist. These works are aimed at studying the Cossack period in the history of Ukraine and youth patriotism upbringing with the role model of the knights of the steppe.

The basis of the first solo exhibition of Dmytro Skoreiko in Kirovohrad Oblast Art Museum were paintings devoted to the Ukrainian Cossacks. Among the masterpieces, the following works are the most prominent: Ivan Sirko (2015), Cossacks' Picket (2014), Attack of Zaporozhtsi (2014), Cossack Holota (2014), Cossack border (2018), Cossack Mamay (2018), Seagulls of the Black Sea "(2015). By the initiative of the artist, the picture "Attack of Zaporozhtsi" (2014) was delivered to the colection of the Kirovohrad Oblast Art Museum. Integral element of the exhibition were the works, devoted to the Krym (Crimea), in particular, "Crimean sphinx" (2008), "Crimea. Fort Cembalo "(2012), graphic and etude sketches fron the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Folksware of Ukraine in the village of Pirohiv and from the Museum of Folk Architecture and Folksware of the Dnipro Ukraine from the city of Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi. The whole exhibition includes 25 paintings and graphic works. 

During the exhibition opening, Dmytro Ivanovych presented his work "Cossacks' Attack " (2014) to the museum collection.
