The exhibition of the artistic works from the stock collection "Happy Childhood" of Museum was expended on the occasion of the Universal Children's Day on the 20`s of November in 2018 in Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum.
Universal Children`s Day arose in the middle of the past century as a holiday in 1954, when the United Nations General Assembly adopted the resolution No. 836, recommending all the countries to celebrate a Universal Children's Day, starting since 1956.
«The Declaration of the Rights of the Child» was adopted on 20`s of November in 1959, and then the «Convention on the Rights of the Child» in 1989.
The purpose of celebrating the Universal Children's Day is to attract the attention of the wide public, organizations and government agencies to the issues directed to the practical implementation of measures to ensure the well-being of children around the world.
Children as the most vulnerable part of society are acutely affected by the consequences of the most serious social problems: the crisis of the family, poverty, imperfect mechanisms of protection of rights, etc. The child must be prepared for an independent life, have more opportunities to participate in society, enjoy the rights of freedom of thought and speech, the choice of culture, religion and language.
Annually, on this day, there are a large number of charity events and activities aimed at raising the level of welfare of children, protection of their rights, and awareness of the population about existing problems in the majority of countries. The most important thing for every kid in life is attention, care and love.
The picturesque works from the stock collection of the regional art museum dedicated to the theme of happy childhood were presented on the exhibition on the occasion of the Universal Children`s Day. These are the works of well-known masters of Ukrainian painting of the twentieth century: «Olenka» T. Khitrova (1913-1991), "Portrait of a Daughter" B. Domashina (1927-2000), «Anna`s portrait» and “Valya`s portrait» V. Fedorovа (1920-1986), «Childhood» M. Bondarenko (1914-1999), «The Country Girl» O.Logvinyuk (1936-2004), «Shooting gallery» Yu.Lutskevich (1934-2002) and others.
We call everyone today and every next day, warm each and every child with warmth of love, unite efforts for the future, and then the small citizens will grow worthy people and will surely become the pride of Ukraine.
Each of us can make a child happy by giving her a piece of heat, especially to those who need it as much as possible.
