On September 27, 2018, an exposition "Traveling Around the Native Land" devoted to the World Tourism Day was launched in the Regional Art Museum.
It is today that the world community celebrates this relatively new holiday for society. The globalization of the economy, the development of the media sphere poses new challenges to the world community. Tourism today in economically developed countries is the answer that the world gives to global processes. Sitting at home at computers a person can virtually travel around the world, but most citizens today still prefer real travel. The global trend of tourism development has many directions. In Ukraine, the so-called green tourism is actively developing, although other destinations allow potential tourists to choose the best price and quality tour, both for themselves and for their whole family. In economically developed countries, the share of gross domestic product earned by the tourism industry reaches almost half of all budget revenues.
In 2018, the European Union has declared the Year of Cultural Heritage. Ukraine, being in an active European integration process, did not stand aside and supported the initiative. The celebration of the Year of Cultural Heritage in Ukraine allowed to provide additional funds for the renovation of museums, nature reserves, as well as monuments of local importance. Therefore, the choice of works in the exposition presented for viewing in the Regional Art Museum is not accidental. There are the works are presented in an unusual combination of light and dark colors of the artist - a countryman who currently lives in city of Bila Tserkva, A. V. Preobrazhenska-Ronikier "Synagogue" (2015), "On the Corner of Gogol Street" (2015), "At the Palace Square»(2015). The plasticity of the lines, the boldness of the shapes and the color range reminds of the elegance and vulnerability of architectural monuments. Stresses the need to preserve them for future generations. The composition of another countryman, artist V. K. Volokhov "Entrance to the park" (2005) complements the exposition organically.
The works present to the viewer the unique beauty of our native land. They are a kind of promotion of the tourist potential of our region, because presenting interesting objects encourage the viewer to visit these places while traveling.
