On January 22, 2018, the display Ukrainian Sobornist (Unity) devoted to the 99th anniversary of the Act of Unification of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic was opened in the Oblast Art Museum.

The holiday of the Unity in Independent Ukraine was officially established in 1999, giving the great political and historical significance of the UPR and the WUPR for the formation of a unified (soborna) Ukrainian state. The bright manifestation of unity, the will of the Ukrainian people to freedom was the "living chain" organized by the patriotic forces on January 21, 1990 on the 71st anniversary of the proclamation of the Act. Millions of Ukrainians made chain, taking hands, from Kyiv to Lviv, celebrating the Day of Unity. Since then, in Ukraine, "living chains" have been created repeatedly, symbolizing the unity (sobornist) of the Ukrainian people, and the day of Unity is now celebrated on the state level annually.

The Day of Unity of Ukraine among the most important dates is especially up to day currently. Events such as the Revolution of Dignity, the annexation of Crimea, the war on the Ukrainian Donbas, rallied Ukrainians East and West, North and South in the struggle for independence, freedom and unity of our Motherland.

The purpose of the display Ukrainian Sobornist (Unity) is to recall the spiritual unity of people of the Eastern and Western lands of Ukraine and only in the unity of Ukrainian lands is the power of our state. .Theexhibition includes art works by Volodymyr Fedorov (1920-1986), Hurzuf (1981), Leontii Orlyk (1936-2012), Winter in the Prykarpattia Oblast (2002), Borys Vintenko (1927-2002), After Rain (1999), Anatolii Horbenko (1944) The Valley near Rakhiv (2006). As we can see, the artistic world, so different in its stylistic and figurative language, is unanimous in its aspiration to unite the Ukrainian nation and preserve its roots. The Unity of Ukraine is an eternal dream that the people cherished during the entire history of the struggle for independent Ukraine.
