On January 31, 2018, the Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum opened a personal exhibition of works by the master of Alexander V. Gavrilenko "Beauty on the potter's wheel".

Gavrilenko Alexander was born on February 15, 1979. The boy's artistic talent was manifested in his school years, where Sasha was engaged to design his school, and then fulfilling his civil duty in the army, the young man impressed all military officers with his huge figure of the tank.

Studying at the Kirovohrad State Pedagogical University at the Faculty of Arts, specializing in Graphic Design, Alexander had a choice between graphics and clay. And the clay win, as soon as the master touched his hands to a piece of soft clay. And this choice was facilitated by the teacher of the department Kulinich Larisa Alexandrovna. "Clay - an interesting material for creativity, more interesting than paper, I understood clay - it's mine!" - said the potter.

Alexander Gavrilenko has been making beauty for many years and popularizing it, as at present, potter's profession, modeling his products, leaning over the potter's wheel. He does not just work, he gives birth to a miracle, pottery is a matter of his life. Hard clenches are hardly touched by long, hard fingers, and it instantly turns into a magic product, then takes a new lump and begins the mystery of creation again. The process of making pottery is quite lengthy in time. Only someone who knows the technological «kitchen»  at least knows a little can somehow understand and appreciate. How to focus, in order to "keep" a holistic image, do not dissipate during the work of the first impression, not to lose the freshness of perception.

That one who skillfully works with clay is associated with the wizard. From Alexander's hands are wonderful whistles and whips, a variety of zoomorphic plastic and bells, a lot of pots, jugs, pots, candlesticks, plates. Also, the potter creates wonderful souvenirs, ceramic panels, boxes, children's games, celebratory flags and musical instruments. The themes of his pottery are boundless and unusual. The work of the master is aimed at creating unique products in the best traditions of pottery art in Ukraine. The artist does not sell his works, he gives them: schools, museums, friends, acquaintances ...

Master in constant search, he attracts to his business and the younger generation - since 2013 he is the head of the group "Gonchariki" in the communal institution "Educational and educational association №35" School of the I-III degrees "out-of-school center of the Kirovograd city council of Kirovohrad region ", Where he teaches children to enjoy beauty in all its manifestations. He personally equipped a workshop for employing circles, made a potter's wheel, built an oven.

The exposition presents Alexander Gavrilenko's pottery: decorative panels and pitchers, cup and children's toys, whistles and pots, musical instruments and souvenir medals, bells and thematic plaques, cups and other clay items. Among them, 13 items from the museum collection, transmitted by the author in 2015.

During the opening of the exhibition, the author transferred to the funds of the Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum an icon - the triptych "Jesus Christ the Almighty, the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Nicholas the Wonderworker".
