February 16, 2017 in the regional art museum the exhibition "Light of new accessions" was opened, which has become an eloquent reflection of the museum system work to replenish the stock collection. The exhibition presents remarkable examples of art submitted to the art museum for the last two years due to active exhibition activities and fruitful cooperation not only with artists and with members of their families, but also customs and other organizations, and those private persons who care for the preservation of artistic heritage.

A characteristic feature of the exhibition is its diverse nature, as the exposition hall "gathered" together representatives of different artistic directions - paintings, drawings, sculpture, decorative art, which makes it even more attractive to visitors.

Another feature of the exhibition is its thematic focus, which is not limited to the popularization of unique creative artists, but also is educational in nature. After all one should agree that in terms of complex socio-economic realities and mercenary attitudes it is quite a feat to contribute to the replenishment of the stock assembly of the region leading museum, realizing the importance of such a step for future generations and spiritual revival of the nation.

The very construction of the exhibition is designed to ensure that visitors understand not only the thematic and artistic variety of exhibits but also their geographic revenue, covering not only different regions of Ukraine - Volyn, Kherson, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Odesa, but also other countries - Russia , France, Bulgaria (the latter is represented by the works of the Bulgarian artist Ivan Stoianov).

We sincerely hope that the true patriots and fans of highly professional art will share our joy from the fact that the stock collection of the  regional art museum has been again replenished with true artistic gems, among them - magnificent examples of fine art, whose authors were not presented in the exposition of our museum.

For example, a long-term collaboration with the National Art Museum of Ukraine gave the opportunity to add funds collection of our museum with amazing paintings by Matvii Illich Huliaiev (17 works).

In his turn, the owner of the private gallery "Yelisavethrad" Mykola Mykolaiovych Tsukanov once again presented the regional museum with paintings by Volodymyr Ivanovych Ostrouhov "Blue Day", the graphic work of honored artist of Ukraine Anatolii Hryhorovych Kravchenko "Green Willows" from the series "Kirovohrad region" and Ivan Mykytovych Verdysha "Still Life ".

We are also sincerely grateful to our renowned artists - countrymen and true patriots - Leonid Dmytrovych Vandenko, Volodymyr Oleksiiovych Bilous, Fedir Fedorovych Lagno, Viktor Mykolaiovych Osipov, Vadym Oleksandrovych Kanashchuk, Dmytro Viktorovych Tarasenko, Pavlo Olehovych Oleksiienko, the Firsovs for their desire to trasnfer to our museum their works that will be adequately presented in the museum exposition.

The invaluable donation to the fund collection of Art Museum were also works of honored artist of Ukraine Feliks Mykhailovych Polonskyi " A heavy red cloud came (Lesia Ukrainka)" (2008), "The Milky Way" (1991) and "Crying ashes" (1991), and three paintings by countryman from Oleksandriia Stepan Fedorovych Nikolenko - " It is Easter Soon " (2016), "In the costume wardrobe" (2013) and "White nights" (2014), which were submitted by artists after the presentation of solo exhibitions at the museum.

The decoration of the exhibition is also works by unique artist-compatriot Alla Volodymyrivna Preobrazhenska-Roniker who depicted the architectural gems of the city.

A bright example of the fruitful cooperation with artists from other regions of Ukraine became the accession to the museum of the works by Zhytomyr unique artist Stanislav Antonovych Antoniuk, whose works are full of national-patriotic nature.

The exhibition presents not less interesting works of other painters, masters of arts and crafts, etc., which, we hope, will be a real surprise for visitors. And this we largely owe to our patrons - Tihran Samvelovych Khachatrian, Viacheslav Ivanovych Bielov, Tymur and Liudmyla Sydorenko.

An important source of replenishment of the museum collection has also become an annual Easter Charity Auction, which value is difficult to overstate from the point of view of Orthodox virtues and humanity.

It's not a secret for anyone that a real gem and pride of our museum is the hall of sacred art, icons collection is considered one of the best among all the art museums in Ukraine. But rest on the laurels is not for us. Therefore, work on the new "infusion" in this wonderful collection continues.  Our true friends who share our active citizenship and help make a big deal of aesthetic and patriotic education of citizens of the new European Ukraine help us with this.

For example, Kyiv customs donated to our museum pieces by Ovik Nihosovych Zahrobian "Evening City" (2013) and "Waiting" (2012), by Arlan Kyzylbaiul Ankatsov "Arhymak" (2013), the book "The New Testament". Kherson customs donated Psalm (AP poll. XIX c.). Printing. Kiev-Pechersk Lavra (1889), Volyn customs - unique icon of the nineteenth century "In search of the perishing" The latest finding according to the expert committee is an original piece of iconography of nineteenth century, completely handmade and therefore is a subject of material and spiritual culture that has artistic, historic, ethnographic and scientific value. The icon was seized from the British citizen who tried to remove a subject from Ukraine, on the border of Volyn region. So, we want to express gratitude to the employees of these organizations for fruitful cooperation, understanding and fast resolving the issues on objects transfer.

The highlight of the exhibition and an important part of it became works, the presentation of which can be considered a kind of tribute to people who have long been friends of our museum but whom we have recently lost. Visitors can see the beautiful graphics of our countryman, People's Artist of the USSR Petro Pavlovych. Ossovskyi (1925-2015). These are drawings of famous fellow painters, which he transferred to the museum in early 2015. Next to them there are objects passed by our other great friend and patron Viktor Vasyliovych Petrykov (1947 - 2016). We will always remember him. The exhibition also presents watercolors by Yurii Semenovych Botnar (1948 - 2016).

It is difficult to overestimate the value of thematic exhibitions of this direction, because they not only acquaint visitors with great works of art, but also present a separate and very important area of the museum work, which promotes understanding of museum activities and severely school of survival of museums in the modern world.
