February 3, 2017 in the Kirovograd Regional Art Museum there was the masters exhibition (arts and crafts masters club) of the crafts "The Thread" of Kirovograd regional House of Culture, dedicated the 10th anniversary of the organization establishment.
The club of crafts "The Thread" was founded on January 27, 2007 after the winning of the Kirovograd master Nataliya Nizhnikova on "The Fair of social initiatives". Organizational issues, exchange of experience, familiarity with the artists, by their products took place in Kirovograd central library. The earliest masters exhibition was created with embroidery that was in private collections. And the very first solo exhibition was showed only by a man in the club Pylyp Ivanovych Boiko.
For 10 years of the club existence there were artists, masters weaving hook on the plug and knitting, embroidery ribbons, intarsia, carving, inlay wood, match the architecture, works of beads, with salt dough, making dolls – «motanky», «pechvork», quilling, decoupage, fish art, «kanzash» and most skilled masters of cross stitch, satin stitch, bell stitch, beads, embroidery machine and the author's technique. The head of the club is the embroidery master Nataliya Kostiantynivna Nizhnikova. Under her leadership, the club has grown from a small circle to the team with a population of more than 200 people. According to Natalia Kostiantynivna, the masters of the club have 36 crafts. In recent years "The Thread" holds its meetings and exhibitions in the department of local history of Kirovograd Regional Library by D. I. Chyzhevskyi.
The club of crafts "The Thread" takes part in various exhibitions of international, national and regional levels, urban and regional festivals and competitions. The masters not only demonstrated their creativity on these events, but also spent more than 5 thousand different workshops. The best club craftsmen completed two five-meter towels ? the charms "Red Cranberry" and the towel to the 70th anniversary of Kirovograd region (2008), which was submitted to the stock collection of regional art museum (and now is on display in the exposition hall). By the 255th anniversary of Kirovograd, the club members had an opportunity to make the exhibition "255 club members of crafts "The Thread" to the hometown Kirovograd Regional Philharmonic. There is also the 10 meters towel made to the 75th anniversary of Kirovograd region and in honor of the 200th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko, which is in the collections of the regional museum.
The club of crafts holds local and educational works. There are more than 200 works "from grandmother's chest" in the collections of artists ? vintage embroidered icons, furniture, iron, dishes, towels, shirts, tablecloths, clothes and carpets. These works "The Thread" studies and demonstrates meetings with all amateur of the age-old things. Also they have a close contact with the crafts club "Kalynka" from Znamianka, masters of Bobrinets, Pomichna, Ivanivka of Novoukrainskyi region. The works of "the spinners" are kept in private collections in the USA, Germany, Austria, Italy, Brazil, Japan, Korea, Israel, Australia, France, Argentina, Canada, Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Poland and Romania.
In February 2011, the museum had an exhibition of works of masters club of crafts "The Thread" to the Valentine's Day, which represented a variety of works of decorative art. Within two weeks until the exhibition acted, the club masters conducted interesting workshops for the manufacture of products from salted dough, embroidery, crochet and knitting, dolls – «motanky», embroidery with the ribbons. The visitors had a chance to make personally various souvenirs and gifts for Valentine's Day.
On December 21, 2011 in the departments of the Kirovograd Regional Art Museum within the action "Let's help the homeless to survive the winter" there was a charity exhibition and work sale of masters of arts and crafts. And the members of the club "The Thread" readily agreed to its proposal.
In January 2014 in the hall of the museum there was an exhibition of works titled "Dreams come true" to the seven years of the organization, which was attended by over 40 members. While the exhibition, the masters of the club held different workshops for those who wish to learn how to do something by own.
At this exhibition dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the club, there were 44 performs of the artists in various kinds of arts and crafts: painting, beading, weaving, patchwork embroidery, crochet, weaving with linen twine, beads decorating, decoupage, salt dough, dolls, delicate weaving, and most of all- work, embroidered cross-stitch, satin stitch, colored ribbons, Bulgarian stitch, beads and the author's technique.
The exhibition was supplemented by the collection of old towels, logos of the Club, the map – the geography of the masters operations, certificates and diplomas and during the existence of the club the team was awarded.
Highlight of the festival were performances of national folklore ensemble "Eksampeya", poets and musicians Sergyi Simonov, Mykola Barabulia, Tetiana Bereznyak, Zinaida Andriyashevska and others.
During the opening ceremony there were a towel and a wipe of 40-50 years of the twentieth century from the old towels club collection handed to the fund of the regional art museum.
