February 7, 2017 in a small gallery of the Kirovograd regional art museum (in the department of teen reading and organization of children leisure of Regional Library for children by T.H. Shevchenko) there was an exhibition of Olena and Vlada Kozachenko called "Black and white lace".

Kozachenko Olena was born on December 10, 1974 in the town Olexandriya, Kirovograd region. In 1993 she graduated from the Alexandriya School of Culture with the specialty "Librarianship". Then she married and moved to Kirovograd. From 1994 to 2002 she worked at ANVKT "Radiy", from 2002 to 2009 – in TOB "Century LTD." All her life, since school years, she had been drawing.

Her younger daughter Vlada was born on 12 December 2003 in Kirovograd. Since 2004 she studied at UC №34, and since 2015 ? in the children's art school named O.Osmiorkin.

This exhibition, which is a joint project of the Regional Art Museum, Kirovograd children's art school named O. Osmiorkin and Regional Library for children by T. H. Shevchenko, presents the work of two generations – a mother and her daughter. Olenas’ works are made by ink, they are complicated in execution, lines and textures are interwoven, forming intricate patterns which resemble a lace.

The works of Vlada are made in gouache technique. Among them ? one academic still life, and two compositions devoted to marine issues. Her characteristic works have the combination of shimmering colored spots, which resembles a painting of artists-timpressionists.

We hope that this exhibition will be a good start for Olena and Vlada Kozachenko on the difficult and creative way to inspire the further creative pursuits.
