May 22, 2017, in the Kirovograd Regional Art Museum, an exhibition of works "To Kanev ..." is expanded to the 156th anniversary of the reburial of Taras Shevchenko on Chernecha mountain.
The Spring's time is very generous on significant dates for our people. One of the important dates for every Ukrainian is May 22. This day is Taras Shevchenko's ashes, according to his testament; was reburied on "In my beloved Ukraine ...". Chernecha Mountain, which then became known as Tarasova, became the place of Shevchenko's eternal rest.
And despite all sorts of political situations and prohibitions, oppressions, changes in power, in the March and May days at the grave of the famous poet and thinker in Kaniv there is worship, people read Shevchenko's poems, sing songs and proclaim soul-stirring speeches. The stream of visitors of Tarasova mountains does not stop, which became one of the national centers of unity around the idea of the unity of Ukraine. At the exposition presents a narrative carpet in the technique of hand weaving of the Honored Artist of Ukraine, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Emiliia Rudenko “My Thoughts ..." (1983)on the well-known plots of Shevchenko's literary works,linocut"In the Last Way" (1961) by the artist-fellow-countryman Stepan Pysmennyi, the painting by the Honored Art Worker of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic Volodymyr Boldyriev"The meeting of the poet's coffin in Kyiv" (1949) and the pencil "Portrait of T. Shevchenko" by Ihor Smychek which in their works immortalized the image of a true Ukrainian, the spiritual father of our people - Taras Shevchenko
