EXHIBITION Of graphic works of people’s artist of Ukraine Mykola Prokopenko "Magic of Summer Night"
On February 17, 2017 in the regional art museum the exhibition of graphic works of people’s artist of Ukraine Mykola Prokopenko "Magic of summer night" was opened.
The exhibition was opened due to collaboration with the gallery "Yelisavethrad", which recently presented an exhibition of paintings by Mykola Prokopenko titled "Romance of the South". The Regional Art Museum continues to acquaint art fans with the works of Mykola Mykolaiovych.
INFORMATION:
Prokopenko Mykola Mykolaiovych is an artist from Odessa, painter, graphic artist, books illustrator. The People's Artist of Ukraine, member of the National Union of Artists and the National Union of theatrical figures of Ukraine.
He was born on August 17, 1945 in the village Lymanske Odessa region.
1964-1971 - studied at the Odessa Art School.
1971-1977 - studied at the Kiev Art Academy.
He is the winner of international, national and regional exhibitions and a number of international biennials.
He held 56 solo exhibitions and participated in 234 national, foreign, international and regional exhibitions.
In stock museum collection there is a work by Mykola Prokopenko "Portrait with a red jug" (1988). During the opening of the artist’s works exhibition in the gallery "Yelisavethrad" the artist donated to the museum collection another painting "May Lilacs" (2011).
The author donated five more works from the exhibition of graphic works "Magic of Summer Night", which was opened in the halls of the Regional Art Museum.
