We all come from childhood... Careless and happy, kind and joyful. Kids always want to grow as soon as possible (remember how much I wanted this). Now I only nostalgically remember those unforgettable, happy years.

Traditionally around the world June, 1 is «International Day for Protection of Children» (the materials www.pon.org.ua).

Children are our pride and the future, and we, adults, want them to grow up happy and healthy, learn to be successful and find their way in life, praise one’s native land. This joyous holiday is celebrated in Ukraine from 1998. In 1991 Ukraine joined the Convention on the Rights of the Child, according to which each state is obliged to respect and promote the right of the child to participate fully in cultural and artistic life, provide his/her full leisure and recreation and to facilitate the provision of adequate facilities for it (based on www.drpsklibr.at.ua).

In this difficult time due to an undeclared war, aggressive military actions by the Russian Federation on the territory of the regions of our country Ukraine faces new challenges in protecting children's rights. After all, every child, without exception, has the right to be protected, to grow and learn for a better future. And today -it is not only a happy holiday for the children, but also reminding to the public about the need to protect the rights of kids, aspire to all children grow up happy, healthy and in the future become good parents and good citizens of their country.

In Ukraine on the holiday there are various events organized: the creation of drawings on asphalt, shows, workshops, quizzes and competitions, riding rides, eating sweets, strongly directed to comfort children and fill their faces with sincere and happy smiles.

Virtual Exhibition "We all come from childhood" presents graphic works from the collections of regional art museum, revealing the inner world of the child, his/her dreams and aspirations, carefree and fun days of rest. The feature of this exhibition is lyrical works depicting children created in the nineteenth century, and unknown to the public, "Girl with a Jug" and "Boy in festsi" by unknown artists, "Image of dam and boys who fish" by A. Adrian, "Girl under the tree" by N. Tsvietkova, pastel "Portrait of a girl with a black ribbon around the neck" by Aliieri, painting "Sasha Zavadskyi" by V.M. Zavadska. With love and feeling of tenderness are drawn images of little boys and girls by S. Nyzova "On duty", P. Pokarzhevskyi "Boy-Buryat", P. Ossovskyi "Nastia" A. Suziumov "Portrait of the daughter", S. Pysmennyi "Own cares", V. Zavadska "Head of a child", Y. Melihov "Hannusia". Children's summer games are represented by graphics of V. Fedorov "On the River", I. Kuzyshyn "Sea Suite", H. Topnikov "We have no place for children to play in our yard in out yard" A. Dobrolezha "Evening in the port" V. Koliesnichenko "Hot summer".

The staff of the Regional Art Museum sincerely wish to all children a fun and memorable summer vacation, friendly and peaceful sky, happy smiles! Congratulations!
