Volodymyr Plitin’s virtual exhibition to his 60th anniversary
On 1st March 2016 the artist Volodymyr Heorhiiovych Plitin celebrates his 60th anniversary.
Nearly 30 paintings by Volodymyr Plitin are kept in Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum. Among them there are studies, and there are thematic compositions. Many of them reflect national Ukrainian colouring, lyrical soul of the Ukrainian people. The realistic tradition of Odesa school of painting and decorative symbolism of contemporary national art wonderfully combine on canvases of Volodymyr Plitin. A fusion of the best achievements of predecessors and contemporaries in fine art: imagery of Viktor Popkov, love to graphic of Dmytro Zhylinskyi, convention of Hrygorii Hnatiuk, etc can be sensed in these works.
Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum has an opportunity to present a virtual exhibition of the artist, moreover, the museum’s collection of his works completely allows to do so.
Plitin has fostered a lot of talents. But his main achievement in this direction is, probably, that his daughter Anastasia Plitina is a young painter as well, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, and, the same as her father, she teaches at Kirovohrad Children’s Art School named after Oleksander Osmerkin.

Volodymyr Plitin was born in 1956. In 1984 he graduated from Odesa State Art School. From 1992 he is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Volodymyr is an active participant of various art exhibitions, a constant member of Easter auction held by Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum and “The Whole Kirovohrad” media group.
