The Exhibition Dedicated to Artist's Day

On October 7, 2016 an art exhibition dedicated to Artist's Day opened in Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum. Over the past few years this exhibition that presents the diversity of styles, trends, and techniques of creative artists’ palette of our country has become traditional.

The exhibition is based on works of artists-members of Kirovohrad Regional Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. It is not a coincidence that images of artists are reflected in artworks by honored artists of Ukraine Andrii Nadiezhdin, Feliks Polonskyi, Yurii Vintenko, and Mykola Firsov.

The modern approach to traditional genres of fine art is demonstrated in the works by the head of Kirovohrad Regional Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Andrii Khvorost.

The exhibition also features the works by famous portraitists, landscape painters and still life painters Valerii Davydov, Volodymyr Plitin, Victor Perepichai, Oleksander and Liudmyla Demidenko that represent a realistic trend in Kirovohrad art.

Decorative painting genre is demonstrated in the artworks by Yurii Honcharenko, Igor Smychek, Olha Kolomiiets, Volodymyr Ostroukhov.

Graphic art is represented by works of Volodymyr Kyrianov and Olha Punhina. Sculpture is represented by works of Victor Samiilenko and medallic art samples by Viacheslav Popov.

Ceramic art is represented by artworks by the Firsov family and Larysa Kulinich, attracting spectators with their originality and diversity.

The younger generation of union members is represented by the works by Marira Achkasova, Vasylii Koval, Anatolii Kimnatnyi, and Anastasiia Plitina. There are also works by those who are going to join the National Union of Artists of Ukraine: Oksana Samoilenko, Dmytro Tarasenko, and works by teachers of Kirovohrad Children’s Art School named after Olexander Osmerkin: Oleksanda Kuznietsova and Oleksii Lozynskyi.

The exhibition presents canvas of different styles and thematics. There is a bright abstract art by Oleh Rudyi, a lyrical landscape by Rostyslav Klymyshyn, patriotic artworks by Dmytro Skoreyka.

A gift for Artist’s Day has been given to the Regional Art Museum by a maecenas Tymur Sydorenko. Ir is a picture by Mykola Boliukha (Poltava) "Rock" that has enriched the collection of the museum.

At the opening of the exhibition the head of Kirovohrad Regional Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Andrii Khvorost presented the museum with his painting "Apple Orchard".
