December 10, 2016 the Department of Regional Art Museum – The Art Gallery of Petro Ossowskyi "The World and Fatherland" created a social media project "The Winners", which became an eloquent reminder to Ukrainian and world community about the tragic events in the east of the country and the problems generated by the war, which can be solved only by a common coordinated efforts.
This project is a cahoot of the Television News Service (channel "1 + 1") and the «VIVA» magazine. The curator was Solomia Vitvitska, the authors of the project were Olexandr Morderer and Tatiana Rubliova. First this project was presented in February 2016 in Kyiv, then in Dnipro, Zaporizhzhya, Kherson, Kharkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy and in other cities of Ukraine, in Brussels (the capital of the European Union), Canadian Toronto and then, finally, came to Kropyvnytskyi.
The Patriotic War of Ukrainian people against the Russian imperialism became a terrible probation for the young state, having shattered the myth of the state and spiritual kinship of Rusich and Horde. At the same time, this war showed the world fabulous examples of military victory, courage, heroism and self-sacrifice of the defenders of our country ? the real heroes of Ukraine since the Second World War, who became a role model and have filled our hearts with pride for the army.
Photo exhibition "The Winners" is dedicated to the people who having gone through the hell of the war and having received heavy fighting injuries, now are forced to live with dentures, which became for them the next, very difficult challenge, perhaps even more psychological than physical one.
That’s why the task of this project is not only in honor those to whom we owe peaceful sky over our head, but in the reflection of psychological problems and social adaptation of the so-called fighters ATO, in fact ? the war for independence and the formation in our citizens and authorities understanding of the sacred duty to help these strong spirit people, helping them to adapt in conditions of the new life realities.
Among the eighteen characters presented in the exhibition were our countrymen – Olexandr Chalapchiy and Vadym Dovhoryk (Vadym, by the way, attended the opening ceremony and personally signed his photo in the magazine «VIVA»). Their impressive histories are forced to think about the question ? is there any limit of human capabilities? We hope, they, like the good examples of other heroes, will help to revive the faith in the correctness of the Ukrainian people chosen path and the hope for a decent life in independent Ukraine in the hearts of those who are desperate.
The idea of the opening «the Winners» project in museum belongs to a volunteer of the Public initiative «The SOS Army of Kropyvnytskyi » Oksana Chervona. The great organizational work was performed by the Ukrainian deputy Kostiantyn Yarynich with his assistants. TSN host of "1 + 1" Solomia Vitvitska was a moderator and curator of this event.
The opening of the photo exhibition has caused an unprecedented boom of the media and the great interest of the public of the city and representatives of legislative and executive authorities of the city and the region. The presentation started by the video art / backstage ? "The Winners" (the author ? Vitaliy Panasiuk, 1 + 1). The Deputy Head of the Centre for aid to ODA combatants Sergiy Shangin, the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Kostiantyn Yarynich and Dmytro Linko, the secretary of the Kropyvnytskyi City council Andriy Tabalov appealed to all present with welcoming words. Olexandr Tsertiy expressed his support for the project participants from deputies of the City Council. The members of the project (one of them was our countryman Vadim Dovgoruk) were presented with gifts and certificates. Oleg Lukyanchenko (ATO fighter who lost an arm in the war, as S.Shanhin handed) got a certificate on the sports prosthetic hand. The most pleasant and unexpected gift to one of the project participants Viktor Kardash was the certificate of studying in Canada for the doctor-prosthesist (as Yarynich informed). Canadian doctor-volunteer Chad Nilsson and director of the Center medical and psychological rehabilitation Compass Anna Koleva, who works at the regional hospital for war veterans, handed touching words of support to all project participants. During the presentation there were songs performed by Sergiy Tanchynets, the leader of the group «Without a limit», who is not the first time takes part in charity events in support of the fighters ATO. On this occasion we thank for providing audio equipment ? the studio recording "Rock Star" (Denys Fedorenko).
Hundreds of people attended this evening the museum enthusiastically listened to performances of our heroes, and in the end they all together sang the anthem of Ukraine.
After the official presentation the long dialogue continued. There were photo sessions with project participants, the heroes-winners took autographs.
