A virtual exhibition of Stepan Nikolenko
April 19, 2016 wonderful artist and teacher from Oleksandriia city Stepan Fedorovych Nikolenko celebrates his 75th jubilee.
Stepan Nikolenko was born April 19, 1941 in Oleksandriia city, Kirovohrad region. In 1968 he graduated the Graphic Art Department of the Krasnodar State Pedagogical Institute. In a period from 1968 to 1972 he worked as a teacher of drawing at the same university and as composition teacher in Krasnodar Art College. In a period from 1972 to 1973 as teacher of cultural billboards in Oleksandriia school of cultural.
For many years (since 1973) he was a director of children's art school in Oleksandriia. Recently teaches at the School of Alexandria culture. In these latter days he teaches in Oleksandriia cultural college.
Since 1968, he participates in national, regional and local art exhibitions. He has six own exhibitions.
He is an active participant of various events. He repeatedly participated in Easter charity auction Easter and Spring plein-air in arboretum. In 2012 he became the winner of the regional prize in visual art named after Oleksandr Osmerkin in the category "National tradition".
Nikolenko is the author of the modern emblem of Oleksandriia and decorative - monumental mural of House of Culture of mine "Svitlopilska". He in coopration with the teacher of art school Ohapkin O. had completed mural paintings, created wooden and metal composition for infant room library named after Yurii Gagarin, they had written icons and panels for the Protection Church and the Church of Theodore and st.Anastasiyi in Oleksandriia, icons and panels for Petro and Pavlo Church in Kirovohrad.
Stepan Fedorovych is a citizen of honour of Oleksandriia since 2008.
Works of Nikolenko placed in Kirovograd Regional Art Museum, in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Germany, France, Britain, Algeria, Venezuela, USA.
Artists is interested in diverse creative activities: painting, drawing, sculpture, repoussage, heraldry. He prefers a realistic manner with a strong influence of Impressionism. He works in the genres of landscape, portrait, still-life.
The artistic creed of the artist : We must portray optimism and joy, for people to believe in goodness, love people and the world."
Stepan Nikolenko repeatedly presented solo exhibitions of his own works in the halls of Kirovohrad regional art museum, the last of which dateв in December 2011. We look forward for the next solo exhibition of Nikolenko in December.
