Nataliia Pukhinda was born on January 23, 1955 in Kirovohrad, therefore childhood and adolescence of the future artist is associated with hometown. Since childhood she showed a  great desire to paint, that’s why she studied at the KirovohradArtSchool. The life led her to Odessa, where in 1975 she graduated from the M. Grekov State Art School, then to Lviv, where she studied at the Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (1983); today her creative family lives there.

    N. Pukhinda is working in the field of monumental sculpture, graphics. Her works are in museums and private collections of Ukraine and abroad. The artist can create in almost all the major genres of painting - portrait, landscape (very often combined with still life) and still life in its refined form. Portrait painting in the works of the artist occupies rather modest place, but only because she paints portraits of only well known to her people. A process of  model studying is often stretched for years. However, the portraits made by the artist give a thorough description of the people they represent - their tastes, way of living, aspirations. N. Pukhinda finds still life the most rewarding form of declaration of love for the sensual beauty of the material world.

Still life - landscape - portrait is not a way of classification of the world through the genres for the artist, but a way to share her view at it as the only substance that exists according to a common law of harmony. Therefore, the things at Nataliia’s pictures are so portrayal expressive, flowers resemble elegant porcelain, landscape looks like a bouquet in perspective, and people get floral decorativeness. She has two passions - antiques and flowers - a symbol of immediate beauty, eternal beauty. All participants of her still life: candlesticks, books, vases, clocks, musical instruments once were the fragments of scenery in the play "The life of people" whose real biographies are forever off-screen.

The leading genre of Nataliia Pukhinda art is still life, the theme of which is the fate of people left in things: they resemble an infinite journey in time, where the a soul seeks eternal analogies. Having used the tradition as a part of the world view, the artist has given a modern interpretation to traveling scenes. Since the mid-1990s in the plots of Nataliia Pukhinda are focused on the state of solitude as an undeniable tragic conditions of artistic freedom ("Time of silver"). The motive of stopped time is a continuous link between a man and eternity. Early landscape images of the artist are created on the metaphysical collision of a warm feeling of earth and indifferent presence of cosmos: "Walk", "Lonely", "Night in the City". They have a rhythmic subordination of landscape to the movement of clouds, wind, a fly of dark sky depths that represent the state of painful anxiety as thogh a tonal brittleness of space bears the idea of universal emptiness. The theme of history in the context of private life appears in a series of still lifes "Art Deco in Lviv", "New Fortune", "White Peonies". A set space of  still lifes of 2000s is intensified with the dynamics of time, which becomes the protagonist; in landscapes - shaped generalizations lead to the evolution of painting manner of the artist.

In 2009 in Lviv the gallery "Lucas" was opened, the creation of which in the atmosphere of cultural-artistic life of the city was not accidental at all and it is  there where the artistic works of the Pukhinda-Turetski family are presented. Daughter Olha and son Lukian continue the creative work of their parents Ivan Turetskii and Nataliia Turkish Pukhinda.

The artist exhibits her paintings not often, but at prestigious exhibitions in Kiev or Lviv, as well as in foreign countries - Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Spain, the USA, Poland and Slovakia.

The artist presented a bright exhibition at her small motherland. In 2011 in the hall of Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum a creative heritage (60 works) of Pukhinda-Turetski family  was presented. It was the first personal exhibition of works by Nataliia Mykolaivna and her family in Kirovohrad.

The painting "Autumn" (2008), which presents a peculiar artistic manner of the artist is introduced at the display dedicated to the anniversary of Nataliia Pukhinda. This picture was transferred to the funds of  Regional Art Museum after opening of personal exhibition. And now visitors of the museum have an opportunity to enjoy a wonderful autumn still life.
