Pavlo Vasylovych Bosyi was born on January 23, 1965 in Mohyliv-Podilskyi Vinnytsia region. In 1967 he moved to Kirovohrad with his parents. 1974 – 1981 he studied piano in Kirovohrad Neihauz children music school №1. In 1986 he graduated from the Faculty of History of Kirovohrad O.S. Pushkin State Pedagogical Institute (today it is KirovohradVolodymyrVynnychenkoStatePedagogicalUniversity).
From 1986 to 1995 he worked in the Kirovohrad regional museum as a senior scientist, deputy director of research and director of the Museum. His creative interest was related to art history, theater history, heraldry, museum exhibitions design.
Since 1985 Pavlo Bosyi worked with student theatre "Resonance" of KirovohradVolodymyrVynnychenkoStatePedagogicalUniversity and Kirovohrad operetta theater as an art director, worked with directors V. Deinekin, M. Levandovskii, T. Korniets and others.
The field of interest of Pavlo Bosyi is diverse: he participated in organization of exhibitions of medieval weapons, urban archeology, restored exhibits, Holodomor history, history of intellectuals of the XIX century, modern history of central Ukraine, history of British industrialists in Kirovohrad, Ukrainian classical theater history, ethnography. He took part in reorganization of permanent exhibition of Memorial Museums of Yurii Yanovskyi, Ivan Tobilevych, the Museum of Ukrainian choreography history and others.
In 1991, the world saw the first performance of Pavlo Bosyi in Kirovohrad Mark Kropyvnytskyi Regional Academic Music and Drama Theatre. "As our grandfathers were bachelors" (M. Barskyi production). In Coryphaeus Theater Pavlo Bosyi together with director M. Barskyi and M. Horohovym made scenographic projects (plays by Moliere and Vynnychenko Zoshchenko and Kalman) with director M. Illiashenko "The Threepenny Opera" by Brecht. Also, as a director and scenewright he collaborated with student theater of Kirovohrad Consortium "PedagogicalAcademy", where he worked on the plays by Shakespeare, Genet, Chekhov, Ionescu, Wilde and others.
In 2000-2002 Pavlo Bosyi was a graduate trainee at NewSchoolUniversity in New York, Ohio University majoring in "Scenogaphy".
From 2002 to 2004.. – he was engaged in theater design and technology - scenography (Stage - design, costume, theatrical light), OhioUniversity, in 2004 Pavlo Bosyi got the degree of MFA.
One of the goals in the creative activity of Pavlo Bosyi stands scenograpghy for musicals and stage scenery for plays by Shakespeare, Moliere, Gogol, Vynnychenko, Chekhov, modern drama, classical operetta, etc.
Pavlo Bosyi is awarded with many awards, including: two prizes of theater professional association SETC for design to Shakespeare's "Henry V" (2003), Diploma of Southeastern Theatre Conference (USA) for stage-design and costumes for the play "Henry V" by Shakespeare (2003); participant reward of "Ming Cho Lee Clambake exhibition", New York, USA (2004); participant diploma of the Young designers forum of at the Congress of Institute of Theatre Technology (USITT), (2004); Diploma of International Theatre Festival "The Ladder" in Lviv, as director and stage designer (2004); reward of theatre Festival "On the Wings of Love" (2004); Diploma of the International Theatre Festival "The Ladder" in Lviv as a stage designer of tragicomedy based on Beckett's "Waiting for Godot," in the theater "Little Globe" (2006); award of Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Urinetown for stage design for the play of Oakland University (Michigan, USA) (2006); Diploma of International Theatre Festival "The Ladder" in Lviv for directing and set design for the play "Queen Lear" of the theater "Little Globe" based on Shakespeare (2007); he was the winner of the annual award of Oakland University in the sphere of teachers creative work (2008) ...
In 2010 he was invited as a Honored guest of International Folk Art Festival "The Tumbleweed" in Kirovohrad region.

Pavlo Bosyi is a member of the All-Ukrainian Union of Armorists and American theater trade unions SETC and USITT. Associated Designers of Canada (ACD), the International Association of Puppeteers, American Association of University Professors, and he is one of the founders of English-speaking «The Little Globe Theatre».
He is a compiler of books "Odditorium of Oleksandr Ilin," "Foreign entrepreneurs in Ukraine" a booklet "The streets of the old Yelisavethrad".
He worked with documents of memorial archive of Robert Elvorti (1999).
The works of P. Bosyi were exhibited at personal exhibitions in Ukraine and the United States, in 2003 his first personal exhibition-retrospective of scenography was opened in KirovohradRegionalArt Museum. In 2006, with the initiative and support of Pavlo Bosyi there was an exhibition "Modern American Theatre" in the KirovogradRegionalArt Museum.
In January 2011, in Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum Pavlo Bosyi held a seminar for museum staff from different regions of Ukraine in order to improve the professional level and learn experience of museums in Europe and the USA. During the workshop the following topics were presented: "Classification and specialty of museums"; "Opening hours"; "Museum organizations"; "Creating of museums websites "; "Labeling. Texts in exhibitions "; "Experience of museums in Europe and the US: expositional and educational activity"; "Special measures in museums."
Since 2011 inKirovohradRegionalArt Museum the project "Theatre in the Museum" is launched – it is a new creative, non-commercial project of Chamber Theatre in the museum. The project team of "Theatre in the Museum" includes P.V. Bosyi. "Theatre in the Museum" is a success, it has entered the history of the region, found its audience, and will continue its work in the future.
The exhibition presents works: "Seascape" (1990) from the private collection "Hamlet. Mousetrap "(1986) from the Museum funds collection. Pavlo Vasylovych transferred it at the opening of the personal exhibition in 2003. Also there are documentary-archives materials covering the creative career of ethnographer, set designer, designer Pavlo Vasylovych Bosyi.
Pavlo Bosyi associates himself with the art direction which is called "action scenography", which is inherent to search metaphorical decisions of visual image of performance. His favorite scenographers are a great Ukrainian artist Daniil Lider and a patriarch of American scenography Ming Cho Lee.
