An exhibition "With love for the Motherland!" of a famous artist of Ukraine, Chairman of the Odessa Regional Organization of National Union of artists of Ukraine AnatoliyHorbenko was held in September 19, 2014 in Kirovograd regional art Museum. It was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the artist's birthday and the celebration of the 260th anniversary of the Kirovohrad.
Again we are welcomed by the beautiful land of Odessa region! During the last opening day, which was held in December 2009 AnatoliyHorbenko promised to return to his hometown with new works, new ideas, pursuits and achievements. The artist came to us not only with a remarkable exhibition but with a new title - he received the honorary title of people's artist of Ukraine in June 2011! In these days of September, Kirovohrad celebrates the 260th anniversary of its foundation and the famous artist made this kind of a good "gift" to all the fans of fine art.
AnatoliyHorbenko was born February 8, 1944 in Kirovohrad. He graduated from M. Hrekov Odessa state art College and South Ukrainian state pedagogical University (graphic Department). He considered academician of painting of MichailBozhiy and Valeria Gegomiana to be his teachers. From a young age he began to participate in numerous national and other exhibitions; when he was 33 he became a member of the Union of artists of the USSR, earning positive feedbacksabouthis works and recommendations from the best Ukrainian artists, such as K. Lomykin, H. Pavliuk etc.
Artist visitsvarious cities of Ukraine, Bulgaria (Varna, Sofia), Hungary (Budapest, Szeged), Italy (Florence, Genoa), USA (New York, Baltimore)with his personal exhibitions. He takes part in many exhibitions in Russia (twice exhibited at the Russian Academy of arts), Japan, the UK, Romania, Spain, and Austria. His works are purchased by the Ministry of culture of Ukraine and kept in museums of Ukraine and in private collections abroad. He became the winner of the regional award "artist of the year" in 2001 for a series of paintings, from Odessa Union of artists in the category "Your names, Odessa!". The year 2002 for Horbenko was special as he was awarded the honorary title "Honored artist of Ukraine". During these years he was awarded with many honorary diplomas, badges, diplomas for personal contribution to the development of national art and public activities. In 2014 he won the prize of Yablonska and became anhonorable citizen ofIlyichevsk city.
Horbenko alsoheldexecutive positions: he was a chief artist ofIlyichevsk, main artist of the art Fund of the Odessa Union, Chairman of the art Fund of Ukraine. Since 2007 he is a chairman of the Odessa regional organization of National Union of artists of Ukraine. Anatoly is also a teacher professor, head of Department of fine arts architecture-art Institute of Odessa state Academy of construction and architecture.
This year is the anniversary for the master of painting. Back in February Anatoly turned 70! Four personal exhibitions were opened in Odessa - Ilyichevsk the Museum of fine arts. (and there were 85 works), Odessa art Museum (115 works), the Department of fine arts architecture-art Institute of Odessa state Academy of construction and architecture (115 works), Odessa Museum of Western and Oriental art (115 works), exhibition in the House of the artist NSHU (Kyiv) - (180 works).
In the creative heritage ofAnatoliyHorbenkothere are many different compositions, portraits, landscapes. The works of the artist always discover something individual in people and nature, his palette is bright and cheerful, dominated by warm, Sunny colors. They have brightness, joy, and lots of light. He constantly learns his soul, revealing to us her secretsalways being alone with nature. His worksare constant creative search; they comfort and fill with optimism and give hope...
Solo exhibition at the regional art Museum presents lyrical and emotional landscapes in which the language of painting manages to convey the subtlest state of nature at different times of the year - "the sun warmed the earth" (2013), "birch autumn" (2009), "Sednev snowstorm" (2013), "Over the Dniester Liman" (2012); thin on flavor, sensual still life - "Early violets" (2011), "the Awakening" (2012); Odessa motifs, designed in soft pastel manner - "Festive meeting. Barka "Comrade" (2011), "Start of day" (2011), "Bank of Odessa region" (2012). Long contemplation of these paintings gives a very positive effect - there is thepurification of the soul, the growing sense of beauty.
The work of the honored worker of arts of the USSR SvyatoslavBozhiy (1938-1999) "Artist Igorance" (1979) draws attention too. A long and strong friendship unites these two families for many years.
The exhibition is complemented by a variety of printed materials - posters, albums, booklets, invitations, catalogs, which reveal the multi-faceted world tireless, openly and truly in love with their work of talented artists.
Imbued with an inner light and love, subtle and poetic paintings of AnatoliyHorbenko attract the attention of his sincerity and breadth of the senses, causing undisguised interest and admiration of the public.
During the opening of the exhibition AnatoliyHorbenko gave 10 paintings to the stock collection of the Kirovograd regional art Museum.
