On 17 May 2014 in Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum was opened Sergii Siedov «Wonders of nature and human hands» works exhibition within of helding of “Long Night of Museums” X International auction dedicated to International Museum Day.
Sergii Mykolaivych Siedov was born on 13 July 1961 in Kirovohrad. Since 1986 he began his professional activity with Kirovohrad National Technical University.
Already in distant 80th Sergii Siedov interested in techique of creating varied masks with foam and plaster. Since that time, mastered this technique of creating masks, in spare time he creates author works.
Today he has various interests: woodcarving, making of productions using natural materials, producing masks, test bed modelling (he designes military equipment and armored vehicles of II period of Great Patriotic War).
He is member of Kirovohrad Regional History-Technological Test Bed Modelling Club.
In Sergii Mykolaiovych creative work there are more than 20 nations of world and more than 30 roots of tree artwokrs. These peculiar "Creations of nature" introduce fauna of animal world: reptiles, creepers, waterwofls etc. Especially masters makes good fantastic zoomorphic figures – these handworks as if disentangle shapes, which virtually exist in tree and were born by autor fantazy.
At the Sergii Siedov «Wonders of nature and human hands» work exhibition were presented 50 works: 20 masks of world nations and 30 wooden carved works.
Among all the kinds of fine and applied arts the wood carving is almost the most favourite and widespread in nations and in this you can make sure visiting the exhibition!
