An exhibition of works "Watercolor of the soul" by Vadim Kanaschuk - student of the Lviv National Academy of arts was opened in the Kirovograd regional art Museum in July 30, 2014.
For the first time, in the walls of the regional art Museum and exhibition of Lviv National Academy of arts student is opened. For many years the visitors of our institution had the opportunity to view the personal and group exhibitions of students and graduates of various educational institutions of the artistic profile of Kirovohrad, Kharkiv and Kyiv, VolodymyrVynnychenko Kirovograd state pedagogical University, Kirovograd regional Institute of management and Economics (degree projects), the National Academy of fine arts and architecture, and Kharkiv state Academy of design and arts.
Vadim Kanaschuk was born on December 8, 1992 in the city of Kirovograd. Since his childhood he had the urge to draw, and the first attempts of the young artist were still so shy. While studying in the secondary school Vadim received support from an art teacher L. Pustilnikova, who gave the boy the basics of drawing. At the end of the boarding school Vadim went to Lviv and entered the Institute of physical culture. In between his studies he continued to draw. But the enthusiasm of childhood, the desire for beautiful still won and the young man decided to change the path of his life. In 2013, he entered the Lviv National Academy of arts (Department of fine arts and restoration, direction - art).
Since 2011, Vadim takes an active part in art exhibitions: 2011 - Church of the Intercession of the blessed virgin Mary (Lviv), 2012 - hostel of the Institute of physical culture (Lviv), school - boarding school (Kirovograd), 2013 – ChizhevskyKirovohrad regional universal scientific library (Kirovograd), 2014 - Catholic University (Lviv).
The range of artistic tastes of the young artist is diverse - portraits, landscapes, still life. A special place in his work is just painting. "It is important not to draw and create from the heart. But before it you need to undergo a period of preparation and to improve your level. The painting calms, brings spiritual joy" –he says.
Also Vadim has a hobby which is collecting the pictures of Ukrainian artists (former students of the Academy), which were made in 1950’s and 1960’s of XX century. Today the collection includes about 30 graphic works. Some of these drawings can be seen on opening day.
On his personal  exhibition there are about 80 works created in 2013-14 while he was studying at Lviv National Academy of arts. These works reflect the search for their own style and identity, provide an opportunity to feel inner peace and show interesting artistic style of the artist. These are the attempts to communicate with the audience, a kind of public examination on professionalism...
Creative credo of the artist sounds like: "A Picture lives when you look at it!"
During the opening of the exhibition Vadim gave his oil paintings of "Red earth", "Opinions" and "Maidan" (2014) to the collection of Kirovograd regional art Museum.

Lesya Dmitrieva, researcher of the Department of scientific and educational work in Kirovograd regional art Museum
