On 5 June 2014 “Transfiguration by love” all-ukarainian travelling exhibit of prisoners' fine and applied arts was opened in Kirovohrad Regiona Art Museum.
At the exposition there are works, which given from penitentiaries of all oblasts of Ukraine. The exhibition-contest was hold in Kyiv on 10 to 20 August 2013 under the patronage of head of Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church his Beautitude Sviatoslav (Shevchuk) on the occasion of Christianization of Rus' anniversary.
On 19 August 2013 the judges, art critics, theologians, public figures and children winners and prize winners.
50 selected works from National contest took part in in International exhibition of prisoners' fine arts “Half square meters of freedom” in Freising (Germany) on 8-28 October 2013, and the rest of works will be exhibited in traveling exhibition over cities of Ukrain during three days.
The exhibited works correspond to the theme of human desire for light, understanding and sacrifice yourself to other people. In the works are depicted both laical and religious motives. Because through the fine arts occurs as if a particular dialogue and wide involving of all the members of civil society to understanding. After the finishing of the contest all the participant without exception get certificate of gratitud and personal copybook with reference of exhibition visitors, and winners get congratulations and awards.
All-ukarainian travelling exhibition “Transfiguration by love” in cooperation with State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine started on August 2013 in Kyiv and was in Chernihiv, Poltava, Cherkasy, Dniproderzhynsk, and Zaporizhzhia.
The cities of exhibition' participants are wide enough. They are Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Kherson, Khmelnytsk, Cherkasy, Chernihiv oblasts.
There are participants from penitentiaries of Kirovohrad, such as: Ivan Yuriiovych Antonov, born on 1983 - “Saint Nicholas”, icon, woodcarving (Kir-VK-6-1 Kirovohrad penitentiary- №6);
Oleh Volodymyrovych Lubenets, born on1979 - “Mother of Jesus” cut and painting on wood
(Kir-VK-6-2 Kirovohrad penitentiary- №6); Dmytro serhiiovuch Dziuba, born on 1984 - “Image of Christ” souvenir, cut painting on wood (Kir-VK-6-3 Kirovohrad penitentiary- №6).
The fifth place at the contest among juveniles took prisoner, who sent his work from The State Panitentiary Service of Ukraine in Kirovohrad oblast- Kirovohrad SIZO Mykola Hryhorovych Frikke born on1996 – the picture “White Swan”, souvenir, origami (Kir-SI-5 Kirovohrad SI).
In all at the exposition were presented 126 works, which are given from Penitentiaries service of Ukraine.
The purpose of the exhibition – to help a social dialogue and process of reintegration of our fellow citizens, who are at place of detention.
After the exposition in Kirovohrad the exhibition will travell to other regional centres of Ukraine.
