The exhibition "Heroes don't die!" dedicated to the memory of Viktor Holyi

The exposition "Heroes don't die!", which was dedicated to the memory of Viktor Naked (1981-2014) was hold in September 26, 2014 in Kirovograd regional art Museum.

In September 28, 2014 a real Hero of Ukraine Holyi Viktor would have been 33 years old. He gave his life defending the independence of Ukraine in the East of our country, taking part in counter-terrorism operations in the Donetsk region.

Viktor Holyi was born in September 28, 1981 in Znamenka. He got two higher educations. In 2003 he graduated from Kirovograd state pedagogical University on qualification "Teacher of history and geography” and in 2007 he graduated from Dnipropetrovsk regional Institute of public administration National Academy of public administration under the President of Ukraine on qualification of "Master of public management".

He worked as a trainer for tourism of the city Museum from 8 February 2010 till May 31, 2013. He was a gunner Chornolis hundreds ChornoliskaKuren the bug-Hardwicke district of the Ukrainian Cossacks.

Victor lived the life of a Cossack, genuinely admired Ukrainian history, local history, archaeology. In his work he put all his wide soul. He was initiated in 2010 at the Museum of public organization of tourist club "Chernolesye", which aims to organize the leisure time of residents, promoting healthy lifestyles and coordination of all types of tourism in the city. He personally was the organizer and participant of various tourist events and activities. During his work in the municipal Museum Victor had created more than ten tourist destinations, most of them are quite popular among Znamenka citizens and visitors.

At a high professional level he was involved in regional exploratory work, the topics of his research were: Archaeology of the native land", "Cossack period of history", "the Colonization of land", etc.

Victor Holyi or Victor Kozak, as he was called in the Museum, was a sincere patriot of Ukraine, all his life he wanted to serve his country, so when in March 2014 there began a separatist rebellion in the East of Ukraine Victor could not stand aside.

Immediately he failed to get into the armed forces of Ukraine, only in June19, 2014 he was admitted to the 42th territorial defense battalion. According to the commander of the unit in which he served, it became known that he really wanted to learn how to handle weapons, to learn all themiitary skills. In August 7, 2014 his division went to East and was based in the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, having as its objective the protection of the airport.

In September 28, 2014 Victor with his brethren went out on a combat mission in support of the convoy with food to town Debaltsevo (Donetsk region).

During this mission the convoy was ambushed. Victor, along with other soldiers covered the retreat of the columns. As a result the column retreated, but at what cost - the death of Victor-Cossack. He was killed in battle with the enemies of Ukraine under mortar fire fighters, as they died in the Ukrainian Cossacks in the past centuries, lives are explored, studied and respected Victor.

He buried in the cemetery of the village of Ploske of Znamenka district. Heroes do not die in our earthly life, while living human memory and awareness of our responsibility for the future! Glory to Ukraine!

The exhibition "Heroes don't die!" presents work photo depicting moments of professional activity, military service and family photo of Victor, as well as during the opening of the exhibition there was presented a video presentation of one of the tourist routes, created by Victor, and demonstrated shot by militants report “On the transfer of military dead"...
