The exhibition of works of art member of The national Union of artists of Ukraine Alexander Logvinyuk (1936 - 2004)

The exhibition of works of art member of The national Union of artists of Ukraine Alexander Logvinyuk was opened in February 28, 2014 in Kirovograd regional art Museum and which is dedicated to the memory of the artist.

Alexander Logvinyukwas born in November 19, 1936 in the city of Mykolaev. In 1965 he graduated from the M. Samokish Simferopol Art College andRepinLeningrad Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture in 1971. Ininstitute Alexander studied in the Studio of Professor OvsiyMoiseenko - disciple of the famous artist countryman Alexander Osmerkin. The thesis of Alexander was the painting "V.I. Lenin students Vkhutemas". It received a mark of "excellent", and its author was directed to work in Kirovohrad. And after many years, we read a report in the newspaper "Culture and life" for September 16, 1984 of the Republican art exhibition, "Paintings "In the night of 8 November 1917 M. Kryvenko, "Morning of Councils. V.I. Lenin" V. Vlasov, "V. I. Lenin with the students Vkhutemas".

Under the influence of his teachers, who were for realistic principles in art, Logvinyuk gained realistic skill and never broke ties with the artistic life. The artistic language of his works is gaining strength and expression.

The brush of the artist's paintings made historical content associated with the tragic events of the great Patriotic war. "Bread partisans", "Memories about father", "Winner", "Heroes of Krasnogirka" are his contribution to the annals of the Second World War.

Alexander went to the villages of the region andto the enterprise, created portraits of people with great love, painted the Heroes of Socialist Labour and simple farmers "Farmers of Kirovohrad region", "Our district", "Teacher" and others. His genre paintings are vital and truthful images, in which he reflects some moments from the life of the labouring peasantry, the typicality phenomena and everyday life.

Alexander Logvinyuk was a member of the National Union of artists of Ukraine participated in many regional, republican and international exhibitions. He often worked in the creative groups of the Republican house of creativity "Sedniv".

He loved the city in which he lived and worked. His latest works are the landscapes of Kirovohrad.

Alexander died on March 2, 2004.

Artist left a few unfinished landscapes that he was preparing for the 250th anniversary year of Kirovohrad. These unfinished works of the artist are of great interest to professional artists, because they have to get closer to the secret of the skill of the artist, the understanding of how his works are made.

"We come into this world to do something, and realize us in the work", it is a creative credo of the artist to which he remained faithful throughout his life.

After the artist's death in 2004, his wife AllaLogvinyuk donated to the Museum 46 works of the artist.
