Exposition for celebration Archeologist’s day was held on August 15, 2014 in the Department of Kirovograd regional art Museum – the art gallery of Peter Ossowski called “Peace and Fatherland".

In Ukraine, Archeologist’s day was established by presidential decree of 6 August 2008 No. 694/2008 “Archeologist’s day", "...considering the significant contribution of Ukrainian scientists-archaeologists in the development of domestic archaeology, research, preservation and promotion of the archaeological heritage of Ukraine and in support of the initiative to the public..." and it is celebrated annually on August 15.
Archaeology is one of the historical disciplines, which examines our past with numerous artifacts, which are obtained including in the course of expeditions, excavations, various examinations and investigations.
At the exhibition art gallery of PetroOssowskiy “Peace and Fatherland", the biggest interest is the right part of the triptych "the Scythian Kurgan" (2007) of a triptych "Steppe Hellas" made by the famous artist of USSR, the laureate of State prize of the USSR, the international prize. M. Sholokhov, member of the Russian Academy of arts P. Ossowski.
PetroOssovsky was born on 18 may 1925 in Mala Vyska village. In 1950 he graduated from the Surikovstate art Institute. Since 1956, he was a member of the Union of artists of the USSR.
Petro participated in many exhibitions in Russia and abroad. His works are in the State Tretyakov gallery, State Russian Museum, the museums of Russia, CIS and foreign collections. Petro is known as the founder of the “severe style” in art. Petro Ossowskiy won numerous international, national, religious, social and other awards.

It should be noted that NinelBokii (1937-2008) made a significant scientific contribution to the development of archaeology as a science in the region.
In 1966 she came to Kirovohrad and worked in Kirovograd Art museum as the head of the department of archeology and then in the Department of History of pre-Soviet period. She herselfformed the archaeological exhibition, independently seeking for the new materials. Thanks to hernew systematic searches of archaeological artifacts in Kirovohrad Oblast were begun.
In August 1978, when the historical faculty was renewed in Kirovohrad state pedagogical university, Ninel was invited to teach such courses as "Archaeology and History of the ancient world".
The scientific heritage of NinelBokii has more than 70 publications. Her articles appeared in regional, national and international scientific magazines. A wide range of issues related to settlement, history and culture of the region were investigated. Special attention was paid to the study of the history of Scythia and problems of Scythian archaeology. Many monuments were explored and examined together with outstanding historian, V. Shkoda.
Much attention was also paid to the promotion of knowledge on the history and local history among the population of the region. She read lectured at enterprises and in organizations, published some materials in the history press and appeared on radio and television.
In 2003, Ninel was awarded the Honorary diploma of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
In 1999 she was the winner of the Kirovograd regional award named Vladimir Yastrebov.
In June 2011 NinelBokii Archaeological Museum was opened in VolodymyrVynnychenkoKirovohrad state pedagogical University.
