Exposition to the Day of Taras Shevchenko reburial at the Chernecha Hora «To Ukraine – for ever»

On 22 May 2014 «In Ukraine – for ever» exposition to the Day of T.H.Shevchenko at the Chernecha (Taras) Hora was hold in Kirovohrad regional art museum.

On 9 March this year all world community celebrated 200th anniversary from the birthday of outstanding Ukrainian – Taras Shevchenko. Unfortunately, because of tragic events of the Maidan and actual stay of Ukraine at war, the celebration of anniversary was hold not at appropriate level. In our tempestuous, anxious time Shevchenko poetry is still actual more than ever, because riddled by love to Ukraine and arouse national dignity and feeling of patriotism in the soul of each conscious Ukrainian. We keep in mind him, respect him, admire him, listen to him. Today he is contemporary more than ever. 22 May – Day of Taras Shevchenko reburial at Taras Hill, is celebrated at the domestic level.
Immideately after Shevchenko funeral in Saint-Petersburg his friends started intercede about permission for transporting poet ashes in Ukraine. At the end of April 1861 they got the permission. In 26 April the coffin was dig up from the ground at the presence of friends, and put in lead coffin and put on spring hearse. From Smolensk cemetery brought to Moscow station. In Moscow Tikhon church was hold crowded requiem. Then Shevchenko's coffin was carried by horses on the post road by route Serpukhov-Tula-Orel-Volobuievo-Koshelivka-Dmytrivka-Sievsk-Esman-Hlukhiv-Korolevets-Baturyn-Borzna-Nizhyn-Nosivka-Kozelets-Zalissia-Brovary-Kyiv.Everywhere, especially in Ukraine, many people was coming to bid farewell with majestic Kobzar. This way, and the way which was later from Kyiv to Kaniev mountain, are described in all details in biographical editions. The place of eternal rest of Shevchenko are called Taras Hill.  And every year, despite of any political situations , change of authority, on March and May days in Kaniv near the tomb of poet is hold devine service, people from everywhere come here to to bow spiritual Father of ukrainian nation – Taras Shevchenko. At the exposition of Kirovohrad regional art museum are presented graphical works: etching «Portrait of Shevchenko» by art critic, full-fledged member of USSR Art Academy, professor, folk artist of USSR V.I.Kasian, lithgraphy «Shevchenko among  kazakhs» by artist H.B. Berkovych, linoleum engraving «In the last way» by artist-compatriot, member of  Ukraine national artist union S.I. Pysmennyi and  linoleum engraving «Monument for T. Shevchenko in Kyiv» by graphical artist M.H. Bozhko.
