On December the 3rd , all the world celebrates the International Day of Disabled Persons. That is why on this day the department of Kirovograd Regional Art Museum – Art Gallery of Petr Ossowskii "Peace and Fatherland" opened the exhibition of young artist, Serhii Tryhubenko.
Serhii Tryhubenko was born on December the 27th, 1982 in Kirovograd. Since early childhood he wanted to become an artist, that’s why since 12 years he studied in Kirovograd Art School for children of O.Osmorkin. Liubov Kyr'yanova taught him the basics of drawing.
In 2000 he entered the art faculty of Kirovograd Volodymyr Vynnychenko State Pedagogical University; his specialization was “Fine arts and practical psychology”. He participated in student’s plein airs, held under the supervision of Valerii Davydov, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. There Serhii mastered the genre of landscape. But most of all he likes portraiture.
Drawing is still the most important thing in Serhii’s life. He thinks that drawing is a real wasteless source of inspiration and energy.
His works are full of poetry, specific artistic writing, which convey a clear uncompromising life position of the author.
Immediacy and special genuine visualization of portrait sketches are close to the inner world of the author and respond appropriately to his perception and his sincere works. Delicate female characters are full of deep warmth and tranquility. Images of men appear to be mysterious and discovering new spaces. Serhii has interesting features of creative thinking.
His landscapes impress with its beauty, harmony, conciseness and humanistic orientation. His works awaken love to nature, interest to the native culture. In his works we see gravitation towards sophistication and elegance, and interest in stories of everyday life. Detailed pictures of plants and animals are the constant part of the paintings.
Addressing to the world, the artist sees the way of imagination development, the formation of artistic taste and aesthetic relation to reality. Serhii has created dozens of paintings and graphic compositions, the common feature of which is the picture sophistication, rhythm, compositional and coloristic perfection. Working with a variety of art materials and techniques, the author is constantly experimenting, looking for new and interesting variants; he creates the clear poetry of delicate colors gracefully composed at the art space.
The exhibition presents 19 works by Serhii Tryhubenko painted with pencil and watercolor that attract viewer's attention with laconic forms and expressive lines. There are: "Sister Nastia" (2007), "Julia" (2005), "Rapper" (2006), "Hirsute geologist" (2006), "Pike/Sudaq"(ЗАЛЕЖНО ВІД назви РИБИ/МІСТА) (2005), "Soldier Pond" (2010) and others.
Museum staff dedicated the exhibition to the International Day of Disabled Persons (persons with disabilities). Unfortunately, because of health problems Serhii wasn’t present at the opening ceremony. We hope that this event will give him strength and inspiration.
