Personal Exhibition of works by Viktor Osypenko dedicated to the 55th anniversary of his birthday.

The opening of the personal exhibition of Viktor Osypenko’s works dedicated to the 55th anniversary of his birthday took place in the Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum on the 25th of July, 2013.

 

Viktor Osypenko was born on the 22nd of July, 1958 in Pomichna of Dobrovelychkivka District (Kirovohrad Region). He finished the school of the amateur arts tutors. He considers Volodymyr Plitin, who is the member of the National Union of Ukrainian Artists and the lecturer of the Kirovohrad Alexander Osmerkin Art School for Children, as his teacher.

Personal exhibitions:

1990 – the department of arts of the Kirovohrad Regional Universal Research Library named after D.Chizhevsky;

1996 – Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine (Kyiv).

2000 – “Woman. Family. Charity” Fund (Kirovohrad).

He had numerous personal exhibitions in Pomichna and Dobrovelychkivka. The painter was awarded the “Man of a Year” rank in 2001. He took part in plenty of exhibitions at the Regional Art Museum and artistic open air events.

Since 2010 Viktor Osypenko has been regularly taking part in the Spring Open Air event in Kirovohrad Dendropark, as well as Crimean Spring Open Air event held by the Art Studio of Andrii Kadyhrob in May 2010 and the personal exhibition dedicated to Artist Day in Dobrovelychkivka Museum of Local History in October 2010. These events are among the highlights of the late years in the painter’s art.

Viktor Osypenko is a permanent participant of the Easter Charity Auction which was organized by the Ves Kirovohrad Media Group, Andrii Kadyhrob’s Art Studio, and Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum.

The latest events in the artistic biography of Viktor Osypenko were exhibitions “Art of Pomichna” dedicated to the Folk Art Masters’ Day in May 2013 and Ukrainian Folk Art Festival “Stepohrai-2013” in June of this year in the village Karybivka of Dobrovelychkivka District.

His works are stored in the Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum, in Dobrovelychkivka Museum of Local History, in private collections of Ukraine, Russia, Portugal, and other countries.

Viktor Osypenko resides in Pomichna. He is fond of music and plays the guitar. This interest is reflected in many of his works.

Viktor Osypenko uses the technique of oil painting and graphics. Genre scale of his art is very wide: landscape, still life, portrait, thematic composition etc. The artist is in the permanent creative search. His portfolio includes the works made in the traditional realistic manner and experimental contemporary works. Not once both of these approaches are joined on one canvas. It is also important to note that iconography is a separate branch of the painter’s art.

The exhibition, which is some kind of an artistic report of the painter, represents the works of different periods of his art in the technique of oil painting.
