The exhibition for the World Water Day was opened in Kirovohrad regional Art Museum in March 22, 2013.
Water, thou hast no taste, no color, no odor; canst not be defined, art relished while ever mysterious. Not necessary to life, but rather life itself, thou fillest us with a gratification that exceeds the delight of the senses
Antoine de Saint-Exupery
The idea of conducting the World Water Day was firstly announced at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in 1992 in Rio de Janeiro. In February 22, 1993 the National Assembly of United Nations, adopting the resolution 47/193 declared the day of March 22-the World Water Day. Since March 22,2005 the United Nations has proclaimed the International decade for Actions “Water for Life”. 2013- the twentieth anniversary year comes under the slogan "Cooperation: Fundamentals of global water objectives"
Nowadays the World Water Day is a unique opportunity to remind a mankind about the problem of clean drinking water is one of the most critical, that the availability and quality of water resources is considered by the international community as a major factor of sustainable development, economic growth and social stability.
The World Water Day is intended to raise the public awareness to the problem of quantity and quality of fresh water for the present and future generation.
Throughout all historical development, a man has sought to reach by his consciousness the widest picture of our world, to explain, to cognize the nature in order to apply it to their needs.
Ukrainian people from the ancient time had always a hereditary of holy water adoration- wells, source, rivers, lakes, streams, and others. They kept in safety and cherish them because they were well aware that the water- is the source of the life on the earth. To throw trash in the water- to pollute it, considered as a heavy crime against heaven, gods and good people. These people were tried to isolate from the community, in fact they were expelled from the villages and hamlets. And the magicians even denied their” citizenship”. Such a person, as a rule to a customary law, was deprived of his native land, Homeland, as its accursed infernal destroyer. He was unable to escape from a devastating community condemnation, causing a great and irreparable harm to the ecosystem”because everything is seen and heard in the heaven”
How many legends, sayings, proverbs, riddles, stories, songs and beliefs are made by our people about water. Lets remember nowadays’ sayings and proverbs: “A cat likes to eat fresh fish but it will not go in to the water”, “A little water is a sea to an ant”, “Plenty of water ran under bridges”, “Still waters run deep”, “Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink”, “The usefulness of a well is known when it dries up”.
All national beliefs is a specific religious of the national view, its spirituality, the high poetry and aesthetics:- “holy” water, water” is taken from the earth”. People treat the water with respect and consider it as a sin to spit and say swear words on it. On the original ideas, water and the earth, as the land, also had miraculous power: Water takes-water gives, the fire only takes”. People honored these two elements, that’s why they warned: “Do not mess with a fire, do not believe water”, “Water and fire are good to serve, but are bad to reign”.
Water as a symbol of health is used in incantation and invocation( a water “from three wells”, “from seven wells”, “ from nine wells”, from twelve wells”). A special big magic power had so called “virgin or untapped water” taken from the well before the sun rising. People washed babies in this infused on the morning roses water, washed with it themselves, cows also drank it. Till today people honorably treat those who were digging the wells:” Because the one who will dig the well for the people- will be protected by God on generation, and the one who will dig not only one well- will be taken to the heaven after death”.
Water consecrated in the church, at the Baptism and the Candlemas (according to the popular belief- water is blessed in order to purify the soul from any sin) once was kept in every family during the year, everything was sprinkled in the house and near the house and near it in order to expel the devil from the house. Consecrated water is used as the treatment with all the diseases. “Running” water- in the stream or in the river- could take and carry away all the diseases, the one stipulation- to take a dip before the sun rising on the Maundy Thursday before or on the Eastern Day in the midnight. At different times painters were chanting and enjoying the nature beauty, the water in particular.

Exposition also presents copies of photos from Masaru Emoto book”The hidden messages in water”(1999).«The crystal photographs that I started taking proved to be extremely eloquent in expressing the world..
Long before that, I have done research on the measurement of wave oscillations in the water, but when I began to study crystals, I have found that the water is able to express in many different ways. I have learned that these photos of crystals have a deep wisdom, which we have yet to learn. Unlike tap water, natural water has the ability to produce a variety of excellent crystals, which become even more beautiful, if they are subjected to water exposure a beautiful music. We next thought about what would happen if we wrote words or phrases like "Thank you" and "Fool" on pieces of paper, and wrapped the paper around the bottles of water with the words facing in. Water teaches in a very clear way how we must live our lives.
The scientists of many countries made a great step forward, when they discovered, that a mystery of water is hidden in its structure. Water reminds by itself the most powerful computer, able to remember everything, which was in contact with. There are some versions, that from this thing, a plain water can be transformed to a life elixir or the aconite, depending on the behavior. Water exactly reacts on a human emotions, changing its structure and properties.
