On February 4, 2017 there was a creative meeting «There is no native dance without love» in the regional art museum of Kropyvnytskyi, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the creative activity of the Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine, the assistant professor of dance disciplines, Fine Art and Design faculty of arts of Kirovograd State Pedagogical University by V. Vynnychenko, artistic director of the honored folk dance ensemble of Ukraine "Yatran" in 1986-2003 Vasyl Sylvestrovych Bosyi.
Vasyl Sylvestrovych Bosyi was born on January 14, 1942 in Kirovograd, 1959, graduated from Kirovograd school №10, in 1971 – the Pedagogical Faculty of Kirovograd State Pedagogical Institute by O. S. Pushkin with the specialty "Primary school teacher."
From 1969 to 1986, he led the amateur folk dance ensemble "Youth" of Kirovograd State Pedagogical Institute by O. S. Pushkin.
From 1986 to 2003 Vasyl Bosyi was the Artistic Director of the Honored Folk Dance Ensemble of Ukraine "Yatran". During this period the saved dances, put by a native artist of Ukraine A. M. Kryvohyzhyi with new dance performances, the ensemble made trips to 21 countries.
Since 1994 Vasyl Sylvestrovych worked in Kirovograd State Pedagogical University of V.Vynnychenko. Since 2005, he was a member of the National Choreographic Union of Ukraine.
Since 1974, he had the honorary title of the Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine. In 1988 he was awarded by the Presidium of the Supreme Rada of Ukraine.
January - February 2017 for Vasyl Sylvestrovych was filled with memorable dates and events: January 14 he accepted congratulations on his birthday, January 17, 2017 in the department of Kirovograd regional museum there was event to 75th anniversary of Vasyl Sylvestrovych and the presentation of the exhibition "Life in the rhythm of dance", January 23 was the birthday of his son Pavlo (1965), on February 4 was a creative meeting «There is no native dance without love» on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of his creative activity.
There were participants of amateur folk dance ensemble "Youth" and the honored folk dance ensemble Ukraine "Yatran" at the creative meeting (Ludmyla Hrapchenko, Zoya Kozitsyna (Domaranska), Olena Nehrebetska, Vyacheslav Pinkovskyi, Ivan Manzhenko, Anatoliy Stoyan, Olexandr Ratsul, Olexandr Danilchenko, Volodymyr Kovalev, etc.), familiars of the Bosyi family and the fans of the choreographic art.
Vasyl Sylvestrovych with pride and youthful zeal recalled his thirteen episodes and milestones of artistic biography of the amateur folk dance ensemble "Youth" of Kirovograd State Pedagogical Institute of O. S. Pushkin, and a high level of skill of participants and the highest pay for their work – the audience applause, sold out and kind words of appreciation from fans choreography.
Participants had the opportunity to see the exclusive footage "Gopak" written and mounted by Vasyl Bosyi, made by the Honored Folk Dance Ensemble of Ukraine "Yatran", photo pictures from the private collection of the family Bosyi, exposure of fund collection of regional art museum (elements of stage costumes - shirts with the band's repertoire, photographs).
There were many questions to Vasyl Sylvestrovych, including the reasons for the collapse of his vision of the ensemble existence, the history of the storage dance costume ensemble, musical instruments and more. The participants shared their experiences, little-known stories of live performances, information about the life and career of the band members after a dance career, and so on.
The wife of Vasyl Sylvestrovych, Svitlana Vasylivna, pronounced warm and touching speech about her husband (by the way, they have 53 years of their marriage).
