The researchers of the Regional Art Museum continue to work with the secondary schools of the city and region, conducting themed traveling exhibitions, interactive programs and workshops.
October 5, 2016 on the eve of the Day of the artist, Olena Stepanok and Tetiana Kostenko visited the pupils of Novoyehorivska secondary school of І-ІІ degrees of Novoukrainsk region and spent pass a series of events.
The pupils watched the traveling exhibition of reproductions of works of one of the most famous Ukrainian folk artist, a representative of the "folk primitive" ? "a naive art", a winner of the National Prize of Ukraine named after T. H. Shevchenko, Mariya Pryimachenko. Her works are like a clot of emotional experiences, from tales and legends, from the life itself. The process of her creativity is a wonderful phenomenon of alloy concrete thinking, intuition, imagination and finally unconscious when the "witch house" opens and then there are the release of unprecedented, sometimes bizarre images. The pupils were the most interested in so-called "animal series" of Mariya ? perhaps because it’s a unique phenomenon which has no analogues neither in domestic nor in the world art. Fantastic animals are the work of the imagination of the artist. The comparison is unnecessary because these animals do not exist in nature. Fantastic animals of Pryimachenko are the warning and a call to friendship and peace. The scaled-up forms of unseen beasts, a real colors downpour combined with ornamental development of the body serve to the creation of its impressive emotional power of image. The magic of true art comes into effect: animals like stir, breathe, grow in our eyes. Universal theme of the struggle between good and evil runs through the art of Mariya Pryimachenko and goodness always wins in her paintings.
After the story there was a workshop "Fish," which was dedicated to painting of the stylized inhabitants of the underwater world with the elements of ornamentation of Mariya Pryimachenko. The participants of the master class portrayed fabulous fish, changing and stylizing them from the proposed photo cards.
Stylization is a process of the subject generalization of form and color, which aims to emphasize the most expressive features. It is characterized by the form generalization, simplified design, the changing of nature forms for decorative, converting three-dimensional shape in planar.
The pupils in their works creatively processed the fish image, having created qualitatively new creatures of unusual colors and shapes.
At the end of the Artist day, the pupils of 1?9 classes willingly started to make "Flowers?dolls" from the tissue. And in a few hours, more than 60 hand-made "flowers" filled the school.
Despite the cloudy and rainy weather, the classrooms reigned the creative atmosphere, the children were happy to have opportunities to learn new techniques for themselves and create their own colorful drawings that will be exhibited at school exhibitions.
It was so nice to hear from teachers and pupils the words of gratitude for the conducted master classes. In turn, we thank the teaching staff for the invitation and we look forward to our continued cooperation.
Especially we thank Vikroriya Talashkevych – a known public figure, journalist, who initiated the event. She organized our meeting with her young countrymen; she helped us to arrive and to set off.
