"The first lesson at the Museum"

The research associates of the Regional Art Museum joined to the celebration of September 1 - Knowledge Day. The students of 7-B, 8-A, 9-B class of school № 32 and students of 6-A class of school № 16 came to our institution on this first autumn day. Although the repairing works near the museum are still going on, it has not hindered the children to watch the updated expositions and take a selfie as mementos.

Since 2014 the museum staff has held first lessons on national-patriotic education for pupils and students in the museum. This year the theme of the first lesson is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Ukraine's independence. As in previous 2014 and 2015 the event acquires special significance because it is held under foreign military intervention and a regional war, which at any moment can turn into full-scale war. It is the time of independence when all of us come to the realization that we are spiritually strong and freedom-loving people who revive their national traditions including in the works of the best artists.

Besides these lessons which were held in the halls of the art museum, the researchers also visited other educational institutions. The lesson on "Defenders of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state. Viktor Holyi" was held for students of 6-A and 6-B class of school № 31, which was emotionally held by the research associate Mykola Pravda.

For students of class 2-B school № 4 the lesson on the theme "Live Motherland in the heart" and a workshop on applications of Ukrainian ornament were offered. The master class was conducted by Tetiana Kostenko.

Olena Stepanok visited the 3-A class of school №4 with the first lesson and mobile exhibition "Ukrainian embroidery. Towel ". The gift of the Art Museum was a master class on making fainyk in yellow and blue colors. The products of the tapes caused great delight of children who left it as a memory of the first lesson that museum workers held.
