Public lecture "Museums of Toronto. Mutual influence of the house and the collection"

July 20, 2016 in Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum there was a public lecture "Museums of Toronto. Mutual influence of the house and the collection" by Professor of staging at Ryerson Performing ArtsSchool, E. Ryerson University (Toronto, Ontario), Member of the ADC, UNIMA and Congress of writers of Ukraine.

The event was attended by fellows and friends, colleagues and students of our countryman, known in our city and far beyond it scientist, ethnographer, museum worker, set designer, painter, teacher.

PavloVaylovych began his lecture with the name history of Toronto, exploration of local museums, artists, pictorial and sculptural works. Mr. Pavlo accompanied the whole lecture with an interesting video presentation and demonstration of some publications and leaflets.

To sum up PavloBosyiconcluded: "... The formation of a museum collection is carried out in various ways. Sometimes the typology of collection depends on the premises; collections in museums exist in strictly limited frames of a certain profile, thus modern tendency ofprofilingexpansion can be seenalso currently the range of subjects of museum value in the field of arts and crafts is expanding.

The perception of Modern Art Museum is much wider, and it dictates new requirements for museum space as functional as well as that of symbolic meanings.

Art museum building image in the twentieth century is no less important factor than the size, space and security. It is in museums of artistic direction where the building itself is created as a work of art. "

Classical academic hour passed quickly and visitors didn’t let the lecturer out, and PavloVasylovychanswered all questions gladly and enthusiastically.
