The gifts to the Museum in December

It is joyful to feel that the stock assembly of Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum has been again replenished with beautiful paintings of the artists whose works have not yet become a part of our museum collection. Thus recently the owner of a private gallery "Yelisavethrad" Mykola Mykolaiovych Tsukanov again presented the regional museum with paintings by Volodymyr Ivanovych Ostrouhov "The Blue Day" and the graphic work of the honored artist of Ukraine Anatolii Hryhorovych Kravchenko "The Green Willows" from the series "Kirovohrad region".

Invaluable gift to the art museum was also three paintings by the painter-countryman from Oleksandriia Stepan Fedorovych Nikolenko - "It is Easter Soon" (2016), "In the Costume Room" (2013), "The White Night" (2014), which were transferred by the artist after another presentation of his solo exhibition at the museum.

A publication "Watercolor Sea" of the First Ukrainian International Exhibition with dedication sign "To Kirovohrad art museum, to my precious collective" was given to us by our artist-countryman - People's Artist of Ukraine, professor, head of  Odessa regional organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, winner of T. Yablonska Prize Anatolii Oleksandrovych Horbenko. Also the pride overwhelms us because the First All-Ukrainian and International Exhibition "Watercolor Sea" in 2016 was attended by our compatriots Anatolii Horbenko and member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Valerii Davydov, whose works are illustrated in the catalog.

We are sincerely grateful to those who care about a decent presentation of artistic heritage of our region in the Regional Art Museum, which is a wonderful expression of active citizenship and patriotism, and will contribute to the aesthetic education of future generations.
