On the 27th of October, 2016 Regional Art Museum’s staff made a creative visit to Bila Tserkva of Kyiv region and to Kyiv and got a lot of good impressions, positive emotions and artistic gifts.
Just as the last autumn we visited the art gallery of our extremely talented artist compatriot Alla Preobrazhenska-Roniker at our first destination in Bila Tserkva. The purpose of the meeting was transferring artworks to open in the regional art museum, a little motherland of the artist, a solo exhibition of paintings “REVIVAL. UKRAINE. REBIRTH". Alla not only prepared the artworks for transportation, but also presented each peace and told us about the opening of this exhibition in other museums in Ukraine and Europe. And of course, the most pleasant moment of our meeting was the artist's gift to our museum. She gave us wonderful sunflowers - a picture painted in 2011, which will be a good replenishment of the museum’s collection. Regarding to the transported exhibition, we plan to open it in the end of November.
Our next stop was the National Art Museum of Ukraine, which, by the way, has recently been headed by our compatriot Yulia Lytvynets, who had won the competition. Yulia presented us the exhibition review "Special Fund, 1937-1939" National Art Museum of Ukraine (2016), compiled by her. This fundamental publication is a true gift to the museum, for it reveals little-known pages of art researches in the turbulent 30's of the XX century. Such a detailed catalog will be a good basis for the research for an employee of any museum. Also, we already have an agreement on the opening of the exhibition project in our museum.
Another pleasant meeting with a citizen of Kyiv, the son of our famous artist-countryman Yurii Lutskevych, and an artist Oleksander Lutskevych waited for us in the National Art Museum of Ukraine. Lutskevych also presents his artworks under the creative pseudonym Alex Lierman honoring the name of his outstanding mother, a famous artist, Zoia Lierman. Oleksander transferred six drawings and the poster of his solo exhibition to the funds of our museum as a present. We are grateful to the artist for the handed pieces and look forward to new meetings and exhibitions.
The next stage of our "creative marathon" was moved to the National Research and Restoration Center of Ukraine, to our friends art restorers, whom we cooperate with for more than 20 years. In the center of restoration the restored work from the museum collection of the coryphaeus of Ukrainian painting Tetiana Yablonska aited for us. We are very grateful for the professional work of Olena Morozova, restorer of the highest class (for reference: the product was large: 2.15sm x 1.43sm), because we plan to open the exhibition of the artist in the museum the next year to the anniversary of Tetiana Nylivna.
Then, at rush hours we started off to our last stop at the Kyiv City Customs, where we had to get a book of sacred content to replenish the stock of the museum collection according to the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine Order № 712 from August 19, 2016 "On implementation of the decision of the Fund Expert Council on free transfer of seized or confiscated cultural values, inverted according to the law to the state revenue, issued by the minutes of the meeting №1 from the 24th of June, 2016».
As the way to the Customs was quite long, a Customs inspector Serhii Sokolov was on the phone with us all that time. It was he who made the transfer of the museum's new exhibit "The New Testament with a Psalter" right in his office. Along with the book we were given a protocol on violation of customs regulations and other documents that would help us to attribute the new exhibit. So we thank to our customs officers and hope for new replenishments.
“Autumn Marathon” of art museum’s team ended after midnight in Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum. Tired but happy, we successfully returned home with handful of positive emotions, good experience and excellent replenishment of museum treasury.
So we announce a new replenishment and new exhibition projects once again and invite you to visit the major art collection of Steppe Hellas!
