“Treasures at the threshold” Roundtable of Viacheslav Shkoda memory
On 30 April 2014 the roundtable, dedicated to memory of historian, expert of Shevchenko, public figure Viacheslav Shkoda (1929-2011) took place in Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum. On 1 May 2014 the descendant of glorious Shevchenko's family after sister Kateryna, Viacheslav Yevhenovych would be 85 years.
The round table was hold upon the initiative of collective of Kirovohard Regional Art Museum and with paticipation of known local historians and intellectuals of Kirovohrad, such as: honored journalist of Ukraine, art critic Bronislav Kumanskyi, head of Kirovohrad Regional Organization of Ukraine National Regional Ethnographer Community Oleh Babenko, Larysa Haida editor in chief of “Central-Ukrainian publishing house” Stanislava Yanchukova, head of teaching and methodical study of Ukraine geography and regional ethnography of Kirovohrad institute of pedagogical postgraduate education named after Vasyl Sukhomlynskyi, Tetiana Kulyk director of Znamianka city local history museum, journalist, public figure, daughter of V.YE.Skoda, Yanina Shkoda and other. During the meeting the present recollected interested moments from the Viacheslav Yevhenovych life, shared impressions of personal meetings with him, watched videofilms and photos. It was proposed to work out the events dedicated to 90 anniversary of V.Shkoda,to create in framework of these events the school of Shevchenko's experts to the memory of Viacheslav Yechenovych, also lodged a motion to Znamianka City Council as for creating ethnography award of V.Shkoda. As a result of roundtable meeting was accepted decision as for holding of annual meeting for Viacheslav Shkoda memory.
