An embroidered map of Ukraine came to Kirovograd in September 26, 2014. Cultural and artistic action "Ukraine - together" aims to unite all Ukrainians for a common cause - the embroidery of the map of Ukraine. The life of the Ukrainian society should be versatile: material support for the army must be supplemented by spiritual projects that raise the morale of the military and instill faith in a better future for citizens. Each region has its own cultural and historical peculiarities and differences, each has its own flag, which is valuable for Ukraine and for the people this is a matter of pride. Sketch paintings are created using flags of all regions of Ukraine and of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people. The idea of the project is to embroider a charm for Ukraine that each gave embroidery wishes of peace and love for his country. It is symbolic that during the campaign it will be set a record of Ukraine in the nomination "Art", the name of the record - "Map of Ukraine, hand embroidered greatest number of people". To participate in the record it is necessary to do at least one stitch in the embroidery and to give permission to videotape yourself at work. It is necessary to count the number of embroiderers of the expert Council of the National registry of Records. The cloth will pass all regional centers of Ukraine, which there will be embroidered the fragments of each region. The embroidery will be joined by residents of all areas that have people from zone of occupation and of course everyone. The action started in the Vinnitsa, continued in Zhytomyr, Rivne, Lutsk, Ternopil, Lviv, Uzhgorod, Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky, Kirovohrad. The next city isChernivtsi.
The embroidery of this map will be completed in Kyiv on Independence square on the anniversary of the revolutionary events (approximately December 1). After that it is planned to include in the exhibition at the Art Arsenal, this will most likely be within any of the exhibition. In 2015 when we hope it will be fruitful to work with the newly elected Parliament, it is planned to give the canvas to VerkhovnaRada of Ukraine, so it will not only decorate the interior, but also playe a spiritual and symbolic role.
Folk embroidery in our city started near the walls of the Kirovograd regional art Museum on September 26 and continued till September 27, 2014 during the 44th all-Ukrainian festival of theatrical art "September gems" in the State Museum which was the reserve of Ivan Tobilevich "Khutir Nadia" till October 2. The coordinator of Kirovograd was a well-known public figure Zoe Lybid, and the employees of the regional art Museum organized a creative space. Everyone could join this Patriotic action andembroider at least one cross and thus to make a piece of their soul, their heart for the unification of Ukraine! All work has attracted more than 500 of Kirovograd citizens and guests of the city. The participants, from toddlers to the elderly, accompanied embroidery with good wishes, bright thoughts with faith, hope and love. Only together we are strong, but together we are UKRAINE!
